Title: How do you write your own books ?
Post by: Entevir on July 14, 2007, 12:10:25 am: Ive read all of the books in the library and the one about talad its author is a player.And also as it says that you can even edit your own books.Well if that is the case there could be a short explanation on how to get a book to write in.
Ive spent a whole day from dawn to dusk to morning (realy boored and couldnt sleep) on PS trying to find someone who knew how to get one of those books.And i didnt find anything.So now im hoping to get an answer here.So where do i get a book ?

Post by: Donari Tyndale on July 15, 2007, 02:43:56 pm: I checked myself, but you must have mixed something up. The author of the book is a NPC. You are able to write with /write [Item name]. At the moment, there is nothing to write on, so it is useless.

EDIT:

You can now buy empty books from Jayose. However, you can not use /write [name]. You need to right click on the book, then click the "write" button. Then you can enter the text and save it. But beware, the text is lost once the server restarts.

Post by: Lanarel on July 18, 2007, 02:09:59 pm: A fix to the problem of books not being saved correctly is already submitted (see the bugtracker). It still needs to be checked by a dev and applied to the server though. Until then, book contents will get lost.

How could you? I never managed Jayose to lend me a single book (not even quest books). For me the library is just decoration...

How can you get to read a book? I'm perplex. ::|

You need to look in the bookcases by right-clicking on them.

Post by: Rongar Elani on August 09, 2007, 09:05:15 pm: Some of the book shelves are 'container's with some books within them, that can be read. Not all shelves contain books (yet) though, so check each and every of the shelves on both floors :)
