How does a lvl 0 lemur with nothing start? llike no $ to buy pickaxe, no $ buy buy combat spells etc.

There are three ways to gain experience and tria.
1) killing
2) mining
3) quests
Seeing how the first is out of the question because, chances are, everything can kill you.
and the second requires tria.
Go for quests.

Most newcomers to Hydlaa will generally go to Harnquist's smithy and ask those around for help getting started. Many a newcomer has been given tria or weapons there by good-natured citizens, and then shown the way to the sewers to battle the rats in order to gain experience and loot hides and rat parts which can be sold. My experience has been that asking in a kind fashion is all that is necessary.

i hv this really annoying prob. i dunno if this thing is hppening only to me but here goes>>>> after 1 min into the game...it goes like "cannot connect to server.try after 5 mins,go to the dumb fragnetic webpage..etc etc...fragnetics webpage don't even apper fullly (error on line 42 it says :@#\)...nothing wrong with the sever at the start sceen..shows all the numbers and its active.but after the WASD cntrol tutorial...well...see above..PLZ PLZ help! :(

it seems to me that if the server crashes there is a period of time where we get a ping register but the server has not fully restarted, so if this happens give it 30 secs or so and try again, remember when you load up the game is it and instant thing or does it take 5-10 seconds to boot up my guess is that the server is doing the same thing.

I was wondering why in the manual it says that you start with 5 progression points and 50% experience, but when my character started he had nothing whatsoever.

The manual is rather out-of-date in several places. New players won't come into the game empty-handed in the near future.

Does that mean that "in the near future" I'll be able to make a new character and he'll be able to train some skills without having to die a few times trying to kill a rat first?

there will always be a kind person to give out something because everybody came in game for the first time with nothing! ;)
