When I run planeshift and try to login the server list says Failed for some reason and yes all my firewalls ect.. allow the game to play
-
Since there has been a new release expect the server to go down many times. It will eventually be stablized once the devs have time for it. :D
-
o ok i just got it so wasnt shure
-
it still down? ive tried all day today and yesterday
-
You probably just have bad timing. :sweatdrop: The server has been up several times but it has gone down several times. Do you wait a few minutes with the client up to see if the server is about to come back up?
-
i try about ev ery i dont know 30mins-hour and by the way it says (Fragnetics) Failed
-
When it says that, don't just automatically close down the client. Wait about 5 mins with the client up and watch it to see if it changes to Wait. That means it is about bring itself back up. Then after it will show numbers that is when the server is up.
-
what version do you have in the top left?
-
ooooooooooooooooooooooo thats why lol i have version 15 some how!!!

hello, i have just downloaded the latest version of PlaneShift (.19), but when i used the Updater all the mirrors failed and it said that the game cannot be updated. When i tried to start the game it said that the server failed. I have a Netgear WGR614v6 router and I use McAfee for my firewall. My computer easily exceeds the system requirements. I'm not sure if i have opened the ports wrong or what, but no facet of this game seems to work for me, which is frustrating because I am not new to MMORPGs. if anyone could provide me with some information about what i am doing wrong, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
It's likely that UDP port 7777 is being blocked by your router or firewall. Have you checked some help files, guides, or manuals for those applications?
Here is a link (http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/wgr614v6.asp) for a support page for your router model, which will help you forward ports correctly.
Here is a link (http://portforward.com/english/routers/firewalling/McAfee/McAfeeSecurityCenter/LimewireIn.htm) on port forwarding for the McAfee application. It discusses setting up a port for Limewire, but just replace it with PlaneShift's UDP 7777.

well, now i can see the Ping of the server, but when i attempt to log in, i receive a message that i cannot connect to the server. Are my ports still blocked or is this some other problem?
-
It could be that you've tried when the server was experiencing a crash, or a hiccup. Stability is sometimes an issue. Check this thread (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=28600.0) (scroll to the end and take a look at "Common Problems") to see if any of those suggestions will clear things up for you.
