Hey you guys,
I'm new to this forum and even newer to PlaneShift.
The problem is I can't reach the registration page. Is it changed or is it just my pc who's bugging me..
I'm trying to reach http://laanx.fragnetics.com/register/newaccount.php (http://laanx.fragnetics.com/register/newaccount.php) but it seems the intire 'laanx.fragnetics' domain is no longer available..
Can anyone report if they experience the same problem?
Thanks!
Danny

Loads fine here, if a bit slowly.
-
Hm, strange.. I've been trying to load it for a few hours now but no result.. I'll try to reboot then..
--edit--
After rebooting still no result..
Is there maybe another way for me to register?
-
DNS may be broke. Try:
http://210.193.49.103/register/newaccount.php
You can also try a different browser. Firefox seems to be working for me.
-
Really don't know what the problem is.. Tried firefox and ie7, both the same problem.
I'm not experiencing problems with any other website.
-
what does a trace route return when you do one to laanx.fragnetics.com

shows that you can resolve it, so you should have connection to it at least at osi layer 3. it takes a second or two for me to first pull up the page, so it could be that it's simply reaching its timeout for you before your web app is able to establish a connection since you seem to be farther away from the server than i am. (my local trace took only 10 hops)
only suggestion I got is to try using the IP address like i suggested in my previous post rather than DNS name to see if that will speed it up, or if that doesn't work, wait it out, or call you ISP and have them investigate where the bottleneck is.
-
Okay, i'll contact my ISP.. Thanks for your help!
--edit--
I contacted my ISP, the problem is according to them not caused by their service..
The strange thing is I have no problem connecting to the fragnetics homepage which is also 14 hops..

--edit-2--
Maybe it's just a crazy thought but isn't it possible for any of you to register for me if I gave you the requested information?
-
I have already sent this message... but i think I sent it to the wrong place. Anyway the problem is that whenever i try to create an account and register to play I get this "The E-mail you sent is already associated with another account." The problem is that I never actually created an account here. I was never even able to download the client until today.

AshyDragon: Report posts only if you see something that needs to be removed from the forum, or requires a moderator's attention. Not when you need technical help please.
Could it be that someone had a similar email address, made a typo during their registration, realized it, and then abandoned that account? In either case, try registering with another email address. It's not used for anything except your login username, so it really doesn't matter what it is - you don't need to keep track of it. You'll need to verify it after registration (make sure that verification email doesn't end up in your spam box), but after that you can leave it alone.
