solution: a bug was fixed.
open access to the winch is not normal. unless you have completed certain quests access to the winch may be problematic.

Same problem for me. Seems they have closed the winch-bug, wich allowed everybody to enter the winch. But unfortunaltey they closed the bug in a way that noone can enter the winch now  :@#\

And befor you ask if i have done the dangerous wind quest: YES - after solving a lot of other quests!

I have the information from one of the GM´s: it is a bug. The winch is closed untill it is open again! (he seems to be a funny GM  ;) )

I thought it was opened to celebrate Datal's birthday.

/me waves and smiles.

Yeah that is true. It was open to celebrate her birthday, eventhough the birthday seemed to be a birthweek :)

Atm noone can enter the winch. Server s currently a bit messy.

Hmm Organon, who was this funny GM by name? :P

Greetings

Hello!

I have been to the Winch when the bug was still active though I didn't know it was a bug.
The area is really beautiful and has a certain air about it, especially the Winch house with its strange apparatus (though I doubt that many characters would know what to make if it).
So the access to this area is meant as some kind of reward? If it so I wonder what would be worth it going there as the NPC don't sell or train anything and so far I was only able to get one quest. I guess this area will get important later on when other levels are introduced but for now...

With kind regards
Kaityra

I assure you there are several trainers there and at least half a dozen quests, probably more.

Hello!

Maybe these trainers start at a higher level. Is there some kind of check of the skill level a player has to enable teaching by a NPC?

at least half a dozen quests, probably more.

Do these quests start in the Winch or do the NPCs there just take part in one? Maybe the NPCs don't react to the normal phrase to a give you a quest. But with the Winch being closed now, I have no chance to check again.

With kind regards

Yes.

Ask the NPCs what they train. They'll let you know (but in a non-numerical way) so if an NPC doesn't appear to train anything, asking them should give you a clue as to whether you're underqualified or overqualified for their training.

I did a few of the quests the normal way, "who are you?,"  " how are you?,"  "can I help you?" Others may have been from asking about words that appeared they might be significant in their various other replies.

There are quest like that outside of winch too, the NPC do not react to the normal proding so you ask their names and other questions and eventually the give up a key word or phrase.
