Title: "Weakness" spell not working?
Post by: Makiraren on August 10, 2007, 06:37:49 am
I've noticed lately that 1)  Trepors and Tefusangs are one *hell* of a lot faster, and 2) my Weakness spell has absolutely no effect on them.

Are Trepors and Tefusangs now immune to weakness, or is this a temporary glitch?  I can't defeat very strong monsters without casting weakness, and hunting Trepors is a major source of PP for me, so I hope this is only temporary.

UPDATE:  I took a detour into the sewers, and my weakness spell doesn't work on rats or fanatics, either.  I'm level 15 in Dark Way and I successfully cast the spell at 50% power.  That should be enough to finish a rat or a fanatic in one casting, but I'm getting nothing.

In case you don't have a login for the BT:
It has been disabled temporayly because it allows people to exploit a bug and become nearly immortal.

BTW how do you practice the dark way if weakness doesn't land a hit?

Oddly enough, everything works exactly the same right now, except that your target doesn't lose hit points and you don't gain them.  Casting the spell gives you the same practice points, same animation, same sound effects, and the target reacts as if it were attacked, but you do no damage with the spell.
