Title: In need of a Guild Bard?
Post by: Kahlisi on March 14, 2003, 07:42:02 am
Hail all Guilds and Guild Members, especially the Leaders.  I am Kahlisidryn Seirpo, an honored Bard in Yliakum.  Listen to my words for a bit, I hope they please your ears.

Is your establishment in need of a Guild Bard?  Do your gatherings require a bit of spice with song and epic tale?  Is there a special event coming soon that you need a talented speaker for?  If so, hire me, Kahlisi Seirpo!  I will pen anything, sing sweetly, play instruments, and much more.

I need not Guild Membership nor do I seek it.  Afterall, I am a Rogue and a loner.  Guild alignment means nothing to me - Good, Bad, Neutral - though know I border between Good and Neutral.

I hope to make my home The BBB, Kada-El\'s Tavern, with her gracious permission.  This is where I shall be found most frequently.

If you are interested in my services, peruse my list at your leisure:

1.) For all appearances and writings, sufficient coinage is asked for.  My prices are not outragious, but they do climb when I am to do more than one thing.

2.) Understanding that I will perform for more than one Guild, though will schedual accordingly so no one\'s toes are stepped on.

3.) Honorary Guest status in your Guild House (webpage Member\'s List).

4.) That your Guild is well-known and will not disappear in two weeks.

Still interested?  I surely hope so!  Respond with your Guild Information and I shall add it to my list.

Good day and happy crystal huntings!

- Kahlisidryn \"Kahlisi\" Seirpo
Bard

I would love to have you speak in reference of our guild \"Raadsel Forscher\". We shall not be departing any time soon or at all! Of course we can\'t pay pay you yet but when we can you will be paid accordingly to how much you have benefitted us. Yes, I understand that you will also speak for other as well as ours. You will be most welcome in our Guild House, once we are finished with it that is. Currently our guild is becoming slightly known, we rank in the middle of the Ruby and Emerald Hunts. It would please us most if we could see a demonstration of your skill though before we allow you to speak on our behalf. If you would be so kind as to email me at josh_quel_droma@hotmail.com with a small example speach, song, or tale. Our guild is a Cartographers guild that mixes in with exploring and art, I tell you this so that you may focus what you say to these subjects. Thank You!

A black-cloaked figure silently dashed up to the wooden door at a local inn.  Several raps on a nail hung one tiny parchment up.  It read:

Xolon the Hammerwielder

Guide true my hammer
Sweet Siren of the Forge,
To greatest glamour
So many coins shall disgorge.

Kiss my finest metal
Supple Dame of the Fire,
Such caress by magic petal
Lends strength to War\'s attire.

Set ablaze my darkest coal
Sultry Lady of the Sealer,
Let these poundings not take toll
On mighty Xolon, the Hammerwielder.

Bard

(I know it is a bit short in length, but I think it is pretty good.)   :]

Heehee, having stories, epics, songs, and poems written about their characters... Hrm... I guess this could be profitable.   :D

However, my writing skills far exceed that of just: stories, epics, songs, and poems...  I can also write essays, theories, speeches, propoganda...  It\'s endless, really.

Lovely work as ever Kahlisi.

Any guild needing services such as these, should snap this offer up while you can.

I would love to see a verse written about your new tavern home :D
I would be very interested in hiring you in the future for further work as well.

I\'ll keep the fire stoked, the cold ale flowing and the hot food coming ;)

Kahlisidryn sat alone, recessed in the shadows, and gulped down some potato soup.  Laughter and dancing reached not the young Bard for she was far off, possessed by the Spark of Creation.  Most of The BBB\'s clients understood they were not to disturb Kahli in her moods.  Fingers drummed atop a wooden slab while she sipped wine.  Her brown eyes peered down at her lap; more importantly toward the blank parchment.

What of Kada\'s Tavern, eh? Kahlisi mused.  The Spark ignited to life and spread with coy smile.

She snatched her quill and inkwell - the process had begun.  Long moments passed while Kahlisidryn Seirpo continued to scribe.  With a nod of accomplishment, the Bard rolled up her paper and stood.  She sauntered over to the bar then handed it to Kada-El.  Kahli flashed her trademark grin and wink.

\"The night calls me - it is still young.\"  A quick reach and shrug draped her black cloak around the slender form.  Kahlisi slipped out the front door, her Roguish aspects unable to be contained.

A Modest Tavern, Indeed

Come, sing a tune,
Dearest friends,
Around stone fireplace.
Fill oneself with hearty
Stew or ale,
Satisfaction the grace.

Patrons in crushed velvet,
Coin ready,
Sweet wines at request.
Travelers in sturdy cloth,
Boast and brag,
Await another harsh test.

Bed sheets of silk,
Woolen comforters,
And mattresses of down.
Only finest furnishings make
Kada-El\'s Tavern,
In Hydlaa, most renown.

Come, sing a tune,
Dearest friends,
Around stone fireplace.
Let soft flutes or lyres
Lull a person
To Sleep\'s deep embrace.

Haha, thank you very much, Kada.  I do enjoy making people happy with rhyme or story.  Let me know if my roofkeeper needs any other literary services performed.  *flourishes a bow with her cloak*

For any other Guild/Organization Leaders - I still wish more clientele!  My requirements are quite humble.  Or have I not proved my prowess with the quill?  *muses*  That is for you to decide...   ;)

why are you no longer
\"Kahlisidryn \"Kahlisi\" Seirpo
Ylian Rogue and Bard\"?
Do you no longer recognize your Rogueness or Ylianosity?

By the way, two very good poems.  You should tell me about these things, so I can come and marvel at them.

Raven - as a Rogue, I realized something...  I shouldn\'t be dispering all my personal information, it could be used against me.   ;)  So I\'ll just announce I\'m a Bard and leave it at that.

I see. Well that makes sense, but I still think it looked better before.  I like that you added in the preambles again.

Again, very good work Kahlisi :D

The BISM will have to be sure to hire you, that is, once we get money to do so ;) (especially since you were nice enough to remember us :P )

I think, if we\'re still around when this game is finished, or at least in a stage where you could play for large amounts of time and have things happen, people should give Khalisi money.

*laughs*  Yes, I do like money and I do like earning it...  However, I don\'t need pervs walking up to me and offering coinage for me to remove my garb.   ;)  That\'s the biggest problem I run into - as a female - whenever I play.  (And I\'m quite serious about that, I\'ve lost count at how many times, in various games, I\'ve been propositioned for such vulgar acts.)

Hopefully, in the PlaneShift community, I will be more respected for the art I bring to its environment and will be left alone.  (Otherwise I\'m gonna need several body guards with the ability to open up a huge can o\'you-know-what.)

 :D

Unfortunatly thats one of the bad sides of a mmorpg and i just know there will be some sickos around in PS also. You just cant prevent it, but looking at our community ill think it will be rare to find one :)

Sultry Lady of the Sealer?  That\'s kind of a stretch for a rhyme isn\'t it?  ;-)

Venge - you try rhyming \"wielder\".   :D  I did the best as I could given the circumstances.

*beats him with a pillow*

  Everyone\'s a critic these days ;)

Kahlisi - It\'s a sad fact that we all have lots of experience of in-game abuse and harassment, I\'m confident that in Planeshift this behaviour will be acted upon with swift and painful \'Vengeance\' ;)
We have had a few idiots drop by this way from time to time and they have all been universally attacked by the community and efficiently dealt with by the admins. I\'m sure this will continue into the game itself.

well, at least \"Seeler\" and \"wielder\" are slant-rhyme. Emily Dickenson was famous for it.

I hope PS never gets too popular.  I like to be able to find people in towns, but I don\'t like over-crowded games where there are always people nearby.  And if the # of players remains small (within the lower 3 digits), people will know who eachother are. I prefer having the ability to become famous (or infamous, hehehe...)
