Title: Problems updating
Post by: Phoren on August 14, 2007, 01:12:05 pm
I downloaded from the link on the site im sure it read version 19 but anyway suppose thats a seperate issue, i downloaded and installed all ok, but since installing server shows as failed and the version number shows as 18.  I tried the updater leaving running and just sits on checking registry, i think it did change up updating registry but i have no idea what it was doing ... any ideas?

Heya
Try to run the updater from a shell using the -auto switch.
Code: [Select]
#./psupdater -auto
Greetings

Yes.. I'd recommend using the console. The updater is a bit dodgy on linux.

ok to my next problem, im not sure if i should start a new thread of not ... but ... when i downloaded release 019 from the torrent link on the site, it downloaded a bin file name with 019 in it so was the right version, i installed it an it installed version 018, hence me having to up the update tool, which if i remember correctly needed to update 91 Mb os stuff, worth while someone checking the torrent file?
