i recently downloaded the linux binary for the latest vesion. however, it's not installing, in a console or otherwise. HELP!!! ???
-
BTW, when i try in a console, it says "bash: ./PlaneShift_CBV0.3.019-x64.bin: cannot execute binary file"
-
Did you do "chmod +x PlaneShift_CBV0.3.019-x64.bin" first?
If so, then are you running 64-bit gentoo?
-
yes, i made it executable, but i'm not sure whether i'm running 64 or 32 bit. i'll have to check with my dad. he's the bloke who installed it(gentoo, that is).
-
i managed to install it (32 bit), but now all the text is garbled. (it looks like a rectangle with a blizzard inside of it)
-
What graphics card do you have?
-
an ATI radeon of some sort.
-
i used the debug thing @ http://vaalnor.mine.nu/psdoc/?q=node/44 (http://vaalnor.mine.nu/psdoc/?q=node/44), and came out with this readout: http://docs.google.com/View?docID=dn2n3kh_24dtmtvr&revision=_latest (http://docs.google.com/View?docID=dn2n3kh_24dtmtvr&revision=_latest), if that helps at all.
(i am not, however asking anyone to make me a patch)
(though that would be highly appreciated ;) )
