Title: New Update available
Post by: Talad on March 14, 2003, 08:16:08 pm
Hi crystal-hunters,
while you were searching for more crystals, the PlaneShift Team was busy fixing some problems in the client. We are aware that PlaneShift runs slowly on lower-end machines. In these days the devs fixed some problems and the new release is more stable and uses less memory. Load time should be better also.

To upgrade to the new 0.2.007 release please check the main site.

The new version runs a lot better than the last one.  There are still some hangs here and there when I turn fast and the pc has to load all the textures into the memory.

Yep, but even with the hangs, if you think about it overall, they did a really great job. Very impressive to me.

You guys are on a roll. I could barely move with the last version, and although the game is still pretty slow - it\'s a vast improvement from before.

I figure if you guys keep fixing the bugs at this rate - I should be able to play pretty well in a few updates.

650 mhz PIII
192 RAM
8mb Rage Mobility

Bigfoot: That problem is easilly fixed by downloading MSVCP70.dll, here (http://www.dll-files.com/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/dll-files/topdown/download.pl?file=msvcp70.zip==).  :D
