Definitley.  Buying xp would be stuid.  It would be nice to get items from quests, such as unique swords and so on. That would be to get from quests thatn xp.

Yes, I think exp. is definetely a \"no question\" type of thing.

Fight = EXP

QUEST = EXP (or something cool)

Kill = EXP

Clan = EXP

Hmm, someone told me that if your in a clan then you get a different amount of exp. points...

probably more.  or when you complete \"clan\" quests then you will get exp. points .... those clan quests are only for clan members

couldn\'t you pay someone to teach you those skills (a way of buying XP)
Title: Teaching of skills
Post by: Lenric on January 30, 2002, 07:42:01 am
whoot someone said a magic word teach .
for basic skills at the beginning lvls to learn a skill i think it would be great if someone had to teach it to you you could pay for the teaching or it could be free this is just to learn the skill not to get good at it in order to do that one must practice the skill.
for instance

Jandrell wishes to become a warrior but alas he doesnt know the first thing about swords except that you stick the pointy end into things.

Now for instance he could go learn this buy paying a certain amount of coin and learn from say a weaponmaster.

jandrell decides to approach Garreth the redeemed weaponsmaster.

he then asks about skills at that point a list of starting skills is shown and he can use skill points and gp to purchase that skill.

also say your a total noob and dont know how to train yourself at all .

there could be a general thing that you could choose at the beginnign that could say well my father taught me that .
You could also learn different skills from journals and books and from diety\'s and other players

Just another thought

Teaching.. great idea. As for the exp, /train on NPC\'s to train up particular skills. Lvl up, or get progression points from killings rats and rogues (about all you can take at lower levels).
