Title: login screen has incorrect grammar if no password entered
Post by: nogard0 on September 01, 2007, 06:26:58 am
login screen has incorrect grammar if no password entered: i.e., "Please enter you password".

how do i become a tester? this issue should have been discovered ages ago in early testing (no this or that (or blank) entered). i am a tester by profession (for websites and products around the globe).

*edit*

same goes for account name if not entered = 'you" instead of 'your': i.e., 'Please enter you acount name'

Yeah, I have noticed that to. There is also a typo on one of the "Welcome To Planeshift" set of messages that appear on new characters' bottom screen.

These are all fixed already in our development code :)

Development meaning next full release or an update for the PS updater? Either way, great job, you guys always seem to fix anything moments after or before we find it. Will it be fixed in the CVS version?

It's fixed in cvs now, and will be fixed for the general populous the next full release.

That long? I understand that there is a reason for that, but why couldn't things like this be released via online updater?

In answer to the original question: "how do I become a tester" -- play the game, find bugs, report them either here, in-game petition or preferably on the bugtracker (are new bugs being directed to the new tracker??) if they are not already there. At the moment we seem to be moving from one bugtracking system to another so there is a little confusion (to me at least) where is appropriate. I think the old bugs are mostly being dealt with in the old tracker and not being ported to the new so that there are two places to look to find similar reports. Following the various game specific forums here can also be useful.

Might be an inappropriate place to put this, but since there have already been reported other typos... there is a typo in the credits, in the passage where Xordan was mentioned. I believe it says syatem instead of system. Something like that. Don't think it's worth an entry in the bugtracker though :P

No new bugs can be added to the old tracker, new bugs are to be added to the new tracker. but please search the old tracker to see if your bug is there before adding to the new one. Duplicate bugs on the new tracker will be closed and we will use the old tracker for them.
