I figured we should make this choice now :woot:
-
lol in your face
-
it seems very utopian right now
::)
-
Why would you want to kill new participants to this glorious game called Planeshift?
Noobs on the other hand...
-
Embrace the newbs, and teach them the errors of their ways. Fondle their mailable minds and indoctrinate them into your cult of impervious thinking.
-
I think we can safely say that Xillix is the new black :P
As for newbs... why stop there? <.<
-
well, seeing the difference between N00bs and Newbs very clearly (thanks to [GM]Dave) I voted just "No"
Killing N00bs should be fun ... as it always was.
-
Newbs, no. Noobs/n00bs yes.
And a big OMGWTF?! ;D
-
You need discipline. And a master to teach you how to kill a so eager to learn yet new soul.

Is there a point to this thread? If a regular user were to propose such a silly poll it would never pass muster. Perhaps there is some underlying message I am not getting.

You took what I meant to say, and then actually said it.
-
perhaps there is . . .
-
There is, there is!

If by "never pass muster" you mean the user would have his thread deleted, you'd be correct. People are too uptight around here though, so Xillix is just setting a good example.:)

So, you're saying posting something that is completely inane and would be instantly locked by a lesser known member of the boards is a "good example"? There are few things that I think are deserving of a lock/deletion...and posts where the subject is essentially so people can reply with "Haha, oh (insert name here), you're so silly" is one of them...because then the subject is irrelevant and thus not warranting discussion. (And as this is a discussion board...)
But hey, if these are the kinds of posts that the moderators want...then so be it I guess. That's all just my opinion.
-
let up a little Waterman. this is the place for off topic-chat and the only threads that have been locked here recently are ones that are obviously spam (that last post wins thread) and one that talked about a banned character.
yes i think Xillix is the new black :P
[although i think this a red pill, blue pill thing :)]
-
I think "Xillix is the new black" or more to the point, very much wants to be. I think Xillix is tired of the being Developer and the lofty position it comes with, no longer content in presiding over the masses, Xillix wants to get back to the foundation, back to the minority majority populace and thus the new "black" - PC terms, African PlaneShiftian.. Power to the people... shafted by the MAN.
Xillix just wants to be on the recieving end for a change
-
Xillix has hinted at there being more meaning. Have patience.
-

Yes, because it encourages the moderators to be more permissive with us regular users.:)
-
I voted for yes and no. Just to try to get the yes and no numbers higher than "Xilix is the new black".
Oh and for those who recognise me *mindtrick* this isn't the Watcher you are looking for.
-
Cila wonders wheter this thread is a joke or not.
Everyone once started as a newb, except few devs maybe...
Pick out those who have potential and kill the jerks! :P

Speak in your name woman, don't make the destroyer of the new breed angry!

Annah's words of wisdom:
Heh, hate newbs? I have to admit that no one wants noobs that tare this com. apart, but newbs are the future of our realms, and now, officially, I welcome all of you in here.
I never hated newbies ... I really like them. They are part of any community, and without them ... a community really doesn't exist.
And almost everything you've all said is true (well except of the noobs), but think a little. I used to think like this, maybe forever I will have in my mind this com. split in 2 parts. And for me the ones I've first met here will be oldbies, and the rest newbs. But this isn't right ... why we shouldn't have a single com. ? A united one?
With these, a problem will always come. The fight between so called "Oldbies" and "Newbies". Everyone that sits an year around here thinks that now he's an elite, an oldbie, also being allowed to do anything he wants. I can give an example Seperot, who was a puppy when he 1st came here, now behaving like the owner of every soul he meets. I wish I could talk with the real one in the future.
Every time we try to forget about the "oldbie" / "newbie" thingy, there's some idiot reviving this.
-
I think it's possible to recognize our differences and maintain unity at the same time. I'd even argue that you can't do that latter without the former.
-
I just thought poll creation was reserved to moderators and that they had to be submitted for approval. I suppose I do not need to know what the approval criteria is.
Could you perhaps explain the significance of the various options to me? There appears to be 8 possible variations: no vote; 1; 2; 3; 1&2; 1&3; 2&3; 1&2&3. I would like to vote appropriately.
-
it's a radio button. you only get one pick. stop over complicating things. :P
-
You may only select up to 3 options.
radio buttons are not always either/or in nature and having taken my first option (not voting) I only had the poll's internal logic to go by; that is, if it can be said to have any logic, other than skewed.
-
Xillix is the new pink. Period.
-

I'm pretty sure this poll was a checkbox, not a radio. I checked both "Yes" and "Xillix is the new black"
-
only allowed me one choice. must be my theme i'm using.
-
well, back to the Topic ....
This one (from Re: Development news for 0.3.020 pehaps - Combat changes)
Hiya!
Just to clarify—when you're opponent's HP goes to 0, you stop attacking, and they fall to the ground. You only get a confirmation pop-up if you try to attack them again. I feel this is very necessary, otherwise you could easily kill your opponent accidentally. You can also hit 'y' or 'n', like most yes/no boxes. We'll see how it works in practice...a few issues to work out left. If you just leave them be for 30 seconds, they're set free, without any boxes or anything.
brought up a new question to me ...
If challenged by a Newb ... you do nothing ... and if challenged by a N00b ... you attack and klick yes ?
