Hello all !! I've been IG for more than 2 years now with (almost) no problem
But I've changed my config and now I can't see the writings, I just see big squares. If it was just on the logging screen I could do with it, but the problem is IG too.
Here is my config
Windows Xp family edition
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual
Core processor 4000+
2.10 GHz, 1 Go Ram
Graphic card : Via Chrome9 HC IGP (integrated to my mother board )
I guessed the problem comes from the chipset and tried to download the latest drivers on the site, nothing changed.
Please Help ! I don't want to leave PS !!

Most people that play and have on board graphics cards have a very hard time playing or cant. sometimes updating the drivers helps but that is not a gurantee

Did you by any chance change to a unicode default font for your system? What config did you change? PS config, hardware config, windows version etc.?

I just chage hardware config : motherboard, and so processor, ram, and grapic card.
I tried again the drivers for the graphics and even for the porocessor, but nothing changed, I still got the big squares.
About the font I have no idea, I know I did not touch this, but I did not install the motherboard, a professional did...

did you tried to install PS new again (reinstall on an other path)?
did you tried to install an older version of your grafic-card driver?
did you tried to play an other 3d-Game?
runs all tests in "dxdiag" ok?

I installed ps may times in dif pat
I installed the older version of the drivers
I played at the mmorpg Fiesta, and tales of pirates, no pbm with the graphics
And all the tests went alright

dont know if it will be much help .. but who dont try got nothing ;o (qui ne tente rien n'a rien heeh)

Indeed these are the cursed squares my friend !
I went to this site and tried EVERYTHING !! ( even the problems that had nothing to do with mine) and nothing, the better I get is....no wrtting at all ^^

Then there is definitely something wrong with your drivers for your graphics chipset, or the card itself simply can't handle the OpenGL functions needed to properly render the game.
All I can suggest to you is to look hard to find drivers that support OpenGL for your chipset, or consider buying a real graphics card, if you would like to play PS.

Well in any case, thx everyone for your help. Such a comunity is exactly what makes Ps so special. I won"t give up and keep doing my best to resolve the pbm. Thx for all your advices. See you all very soon IG. I guarantee it.
