A friend of mine said he found 177 weakness glyphs on the ground... I dont see why they would be there...

Pro'ly just a bug. Weird things like that tend to happen here in PlaneShift, 'cause it ain't finished yet... Could be effects of Area 51's relocation. o.O

certain individuals have reported that they believe people who exploited a bug or simply just mined the crap outta the gold mine obtained vast fortunes and knew that a potential money wipe was on the horizon, so they took the loss and converted all their money into glyphs, because they sell back is high, and glyphs weigh nothing.

they could have been the lucky person to find a stack while someone was trying to send that stack to another character by dropping the stack, and relogging on with the other character.

Is there any way so some how duplicate items by doing something that involves dropping/picking them up?

Oh, and where do you get that many weakness glyphs?

Weakness glyphs used to be sold by the guy at the magic shop.  It's a spell with a long and sad history.

Erm... Just saying, that is why I was wondering, I never noticed him selling them before, so I was wondering how you get so many

Grendol have sometimes weakness glyphs you can loot.
If you kill hundreds of them you get some glyphs, but you must sell them only if you need money

I can use glyphs to save money with not much weight ...

I can loot glyphs at Grendols ...

Trias weigh less than glyphs, so if there is no money wipe, buying glyphs saves nothing.

A money wipe would cause major consternation, some guilds are saving up for a house and have large amounts of money stashed with certain players....
