Hi,
I'm experiencing some wierd behaviour on what seems to me a bug :
* I start the updater and launch the update
* Let's say we forget that it takes many minutes juste to get the list of files to updates since the servers seems to have problems
* Then nothing happens until I switch to another virtual desktop (CTRL + FX in KDE), and then goes back to the one hosting the application. Then it might or might no update the display. If I do it twice or three times then the display is finally updated to what seems it's real state. Let me know if it's not clear
* Then imagine file A is finished downloading. File B download won't start until I switch desktops again.
What happens ? Am I the only one ?
I have a Mandriva 2007.1 Spring and an x86_64 install.

Try to start the update in "auto-update-mode".
For that open up a konsole (kde you said? :)) and "cd /path/to/planeshift/", then run "./updater -auto".
This will skip the gui for the updater and just download the latest updates and install them...and guess what, it only takes a few minutes this way, while the gui version seems to have some bugs that makes it take ages to do the job.
Hope I could help you, let us know if it works :)

Marvellous ! :-)
You guessed it, now it works normally for me.
Is there any bug report to make in order to help make the updater GUI work better ?

You could re-announce it on the bugtracker, tho.
But use the search function for, to make a referrence to the old entry in the old bugtracker :)
