Title: Player and NPC descriptions not working

I am unable to see character and npc descriptions. I can see the eye, but when I click on it, nothing happens. No window pops up, no error message displays, just nothing. I've tried using /targetinfo, but that doesnt work either. This problem has been around for more than half a year now, and I've reinstalled, downloaded over, deleted and installed new, but it still remains the same. When I first started playing ps, I could use it. I can still edit my description, and view item description, but character(player)/npc descriptions just dont work for me. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

open up your planeshift folder and then open planeshift.cfg look for the following;

Code: [Select]

PlaneShift.GUI.DetailWindow.PosX = 132
PlaneShift.GUI.DetailWindow.PosY = 45
PlaneShift.GUI.DetailWindow.MinTransparency = 0
PlaneShift.GUI.DetailWindow.MaxTransparency = 4
PlaneShift.GUI.DetailWindow.FadeSpeed = 8
PlaneShift.GUI.DetailWindow.Fade = false

If you see values similiar to those then i am not sure what you problem is. if they are different try changing it to what i have and see if that helps.

err...I cant find it. I have something named Planeshift(Mircrosoft Office Outlook Configuration File), something else named Planeshift(link to planeshift.it), and 3 crash dump files starting with the name "planeshift" right after it.

You'll have to enable in your folder options for Windows to show the extensions of file names.

The "Planeshift Outlook Configuration File" is the one you need to open up though. Open it up with notepad or something and look those settings at line 32-38.
