Hello all my fellow players,

I am not sure where this post should go, so if it needs to be moved, please do so. I hope it does not get deleted.

We have a Rest in Peace section for players that no longer play. I thought it would be a great idea to have a place to tell all our friends how great they are.

I hear a lot that it is the people that make this game, well let us tell them how great they really are.

I have a short list that I would like to start this off with and I do hope that others will add to it.

Arka: I can not tell you how great you are! You have always made me feel welcome and taken the time to say hello to me with a smile. Role playing with you has been so much fun. I will always cherish the dagger that you gave me.

Einnol: We have not had the chance to see other to often, but when we have, there is no question that you could make anyone’s role play better. Thank you for helping me without even knowing it.

Indygo: What can I say about you? How much I love playing with you. Remember getting lost in the sewers with me and how we laughed? You taught me so much and were so generous with your time. I will never forget our picnic either. Thank you for making this game what it really should be.

Lolitra: My Queen. It did not take long for me to respect you as the queen you are. That is because you play so well in the game. To think you let me in your house and wanted me to be in your guild. I am honored that you even took the time to role play with me. I wish you good health.

Norrin: All I can say is Wow! What a great player you are! You sat and listened to all my stories and never once told me you were totally bored by me. That says enough in itself. Thank you for protecting me from the mean players. You make a great addition to this game.

Velh: You were such a comfort to me and let me cry on your shoulder so many times. You never told me you were to busy to talk to me even though I knew you were. Talk about role playing, you know exactly how to do it. Thank you for playing with me and making me feel welcome.

And last but not least, my friend Zwenze. Oh Zwenze, I can not tell you how grateful I am to you. Remember role playing my departure from the Way of the Hammer? As sad as I was, you made it fun. We must have stopped everyone from talking in the plaza just to listen to us. You helped me with magic and you taught me so many things about the game and made it fun. In a way you were like the father I never had. So kind and caring for little Leama you were. Thank you for being so nice to me. Keep playing because you are a great addition to this game and it would not be the same without you.

I do hope that if you have a friend that you want to thank for helping make this game a great experience; you will take this time out to write to that person and tell them. Who knows this might help from them getting on the Rest in Peace section if they know how much they are cared for. After all it is the people that make this game so great!!

Leama smiles when she thinks of all the fun she has had with her friends.

Ah well I tried, but my attempt doesn't do justice to all my friends after what you wrote. So I would just like to say a simple thank you to them all. You know who you are. Thank you for making this game so enjoyable  ;)

Leama,

I already have told you my mind in those last pms, and those words stand!
You always were special and had your unique style. Thanks for your kind and warm words.. I will be missing you.

To mention a few names, and surely I will forget some that nevertheless dont have less value to me.

Noriin: Still I can learn much from you, and each single day again I try to do so, even if you might not always notice! Not only a great rper, but also a grand person you are!
Rotbartgrim: My oldest friend in PS, you always make me smile with your simple presence and uncomplicated your easy way to go!
Maige: For having showed since ever, PS is about sharing and supporting!
Zwenze: A few times you already have helped us out in some roleplays, versatile and humoruous you improvised!
Duraza: Not much to explain here I guess - keep it up and still give us all many chances to enjoy your grand rp-style!

Of course there are many others that give PS that decent atmosphere, and actually everyone I ever rped with, and if its only the unknown noobie trying to get into it made for supporting that pleasant feeling for me!
So thanks to all of you around, keep it going, folks!

All your threads show deep, good feelings Leama, none of them have stood out of this rule, no matter if somebody ever misunderstood one.
And that is what I used to enjoy about RPing with you, not a different feeling than when reading these threads.

I would say I'll be missing you, but I won't do so.. because I still have that glint of hope that I will see you in Planeshift again.
You know how I feel towards your decision and that won't change.
Playing with you has always been fun and worth it, don't forget that we enjoyed you just as you may have enjoyed us.

Nonetheless, I must thank you honestly for your kind words. Myself, will be waiting for Mathy to come back and grow a party to find Leama.
Trust me, I'm a patient one ;)


About the ones I may as well thank for providing me with a great experience.. I'm afraid I would not have enough space, or I would need to monopolize the whole thread, for I will just mention their names, hoping to not miss many. Everybody knows what have they -greatly- contributed with:

my menki brother Felinius, my dwarven brother Rotbartgrim, Rongar, Zwenze,

Lolitra stands and gazes out over the plaza... her hair gently flutters in the breaze that tickles out at those going about their business.  Lifting her paw to her chest she muses. 'What of Gatuna, Agara, Zorbels, Kayruu, Rilar...' she smiles such a longing smile, then continues 'Unar, Ohorise, Shauri, Zinn, Illysia, Marqsaynt, Semutara, Donari, Irri, Miaua, Hassadria, Proteus, Proglin, Chorval, Nilrem... an oh so so so many more I could say...' (I could fill a book and I might have spelt some names wrong... oops)

I think that there are many whome I have RP'd with, who are just fantastic.. I love this place to play.  Even those with whome I have had my differences with - I thank them for their Role play too... there were (and could be more) great times.

I look forward to Playing with any who live to RP.  and I wave a sad good bye to those who are moving on, but wish them well in what they do.

Hello again,

I must say that I am touched by the people who responded to my post. And I must also say that I am disappointed also. As of now 128 people have looked at this and no one else has anything good to say about their friends. Come on people, this is an opportunity to tell all your friends that you appreciate them. It is important. Let’s see all of you tell your ‘buddies’ how much you care. It is alright to repeat names. This thread should be bigger then the R.I.P. thread.

I still know few of the players of the game, however i'd like to thank all of them, each and every individual who contributes to the experience we have when playing.

Also the friends i've found on #planeshift, another part of the planeshift experience, the people behind the masks as it were, and those here on the forums, an important part of the community, and a great bunch of people.

Thanks Leama, I do love a nice positive thread to post in, and will miss the chance to meet you in game, at least for the time being, i'm hopeful it's just temporary though :)

Netrhys, Nilaya, Aiselyn, Rilar, Karyuu(:-/) Kiirani, Hart, Ayshe, Gellule, Daikan, Xeraans, Hyuken (every utm character), Dylia, Zorbels, Bodacher, Xylaez, Nilrem, Unar, Darkshade, Drog, Easton, Golmir, Jjairr, Tavaris, Proglin, the whole of the current GM team, and Alden, an old GM who changed my very first character's unsuitable name, and who was so polite and courteous about the whole thing that I have never wanted to wander too far from PlaneShift since.

In my time in planeshift I have been helped by many, and have come to know many more. here and there I have picked up things which I use in my role play to this day... or things that I use during a duel (tactics and such) I have many to thank for getting my arse where it is today...

Indygo Matteo: Man I can't thank this guy enough... He took me under his wing, showed me the ropes of dueling, but most importantly he never gave up hope on me, even when I went inactive he was always there when I got back and always treated me like a brother. He once gave me his small fire battle axes, as he no longer used them... but they were very precious to him... I lost them... somehow... and I dreaded telling him about them... he was far from happy... but he didn't let it phase him... He is by far my best friend in all of planeshift.


Cerala: Cerala was also like a brother to me in planeshift... He guided both me, and my sister through this game, and despite some bad choices I made, he always was there as a friend... I occasionaly see him to this day... when I do I can't stop myself from saying hello.. and asking how things are going.


Elvi: Elvi, me and him go waaaaay back... Although most of our time together was not always plesant (xD) we did manage to get along grand... Elvi was, and still is a great guy... I remember it like yesterday when he, drah, myself, and gonelo created the scurge of yliakum....the outlaws... I've changed alot since then, only for the better... and I owe a good bit of it to elvi for showing me my errors...


Maulus Octir: If it can be said that indygo was that older brother figure head in my time in ps... Then I'd say maulus was that little brother... We had so much fun together as thieves of yliakum... Pick pocketing, mugging looting... even fighting... we did it together... For a long time when I was inactive from the outlaws, I was in the ToY... typically with maulus, causing mischif....


Sov Hed: Sov was a great guy, another pillar in my time in PS... having led the ToY, taught me much about RPing, and his views of PS which I share many of til this day... I miss you sov.... I really do...  :'(

Aradia: Ah yes, the very first dominatrix leader... a real fire ball among the ToY... she always had the right words to make myself and maulus shiver and stand in attention... she ruled with an iron fist... and I admired her for it... I miss you dearly aradia... Loot and luck, forevermore!!


Lyaph: Lyaph... has put up with a lot from me... in the final days of my time as a ToY, lyaph was there to watch over me, he always made sure I had what I needed... he even bought stuff for me more then once... truely a good leader... Keep it up lyaph... keep it up.


Unar: I hate you.... I hate you.... I hate you.... But how do I love you at the same time... You arrived to yliakum, and left a legend in your wake... And departed as silently as you arrived...


Gharin: Holdan's sworne nemisis... and yet practically an ally.... One of the better duelists I know... I tip my hat to you...


Proglin: If it can be said elvi put up with crap from me, then it can be said proglin took double that... My character that served under him was all about unessasary drama... yet proglin was able to tame a wild side in me that had been glowing ever since I left the outlaws after the magi war...

Zhai: You taught me alot about dueling... and have remained a friend long after holdan's demise... you and indygo are truely the best people I have ever met in planeshift...

Under the Moon: Not a spesific character but I put him here... He is kinda why I joined ps anyways, my sister is a big fan fiction reader, and stumbled across some of his work... she loved it, and decided to look more into the game... Ekaterini of the explorers is no longer in planeshift... but her younger brother is... I have Under the moon to thank for being in planeshift.

Xillix: I never had the pleasure of truely getting to know your character well, but when I was new to this game, you helped me understand that I needed to keep ooc and IC very seperate,a nd not let ooc feelings control my character's actions... I always loved every rp I had with you, they were all fun! even when it involved rethius nearly getting killed by an angry mob... I miss you man... Please someday come back?  :'(


In my short time in planeshift [two and a half years now?] I have seen much, and many people.. I have come and gone through guilds as I saw fit... I have made rivals, enemies, and friends alike... I have developed oocly for the better, I have learned how to better role play thanks to these people.

First of all, thanks to Izzabella. You made me develop my char more and more while enjoying it. Thank you too, for your patience and all the fun I had, have and hopefully will have.  :D

Elvi: Thanks for being such a good leader of The Outlaws and a helpful fellow and also for the nice contributions in form of awful farts and such.
Drah: Thanks for helping me so much and all the work you did in the shadows for the infrastructure of the guild.
Ereale: Thank you for your help in all concerns. Orgonwukh still is frustrated why the ugliest Fenki of Yliakum declined his marriage proposal ;)
Esilet: Thanks to the only woman which is still a complete mystery for Orgonwukh.
Maudis: Where is the insane woman only Orgonwukh seems to like? I hope she is well. Thank you too.
Namach: Thanks to a loyal and always friendly comrade. Stay as you are.
Noriin and Velh: Oh yes! Good trainers for roleplay and sarcasm you are. It is always a pleasure to play with you.
Nyarimius: Thanks to the kindest Fenki Orgonwukh knows. You are a good and rare friend for him.
Valorius: Thanks to the Queen of Daggers for showing me my greatest strengths and flaws in combat.
Zakrei: Thanks to momma's boy. I hope you will be able to dodge her pan attacks and be well. :P
Further thanks to Aiwendil, Casewen, Eurac, Jaycc, Kaerli, Reapbel, Sodedar, Solone, Swandazi, Tuxide, Vexonee,Yanlora and Zwenze. You all make me enjoy playing this game by letting your chars suffer under Orgonwukh.

There are many people who pded with me and I enjoyed that. I am sure I will forget someone here, so sorry in adavance. A big thank you goes to Leroner, Roberet, Nurahk, Velh, Noriin, Cebot, Leama, the hammers, Pisik, Xiaomao and all the others I have forgot. Have fun playing PS and keep it funny for others.

I don't think I can list everyone who's helped me but I think this sums it up best for me.

Irick, Unar, Socia, Miaua, Peacer, Einnol, Cebot, Proglin, and Farren. When I first made Duraza you guys were some of the first that I roleplayed with and you really helped me out in developing my character and you all were really fun to rp with.

Nurahk, Sangwa, Garile, Roberet, Vexonee, and others whose names escape me. There was never a dull day with you around.

Alliva, Dagdan, Noriin, Velh, Hather, Annera, Morila(and all your alts..), Garris, and Nixe. For the constant fun, help, and support.

A big thanks to Althos, Simagal, Lorina, Daehaz, Drahlian, and Coneitic because I knew you guys forever, you were a big help, and now I miss you all  :'(

A special thanks to anyone who's ever been in any of my guilds. Who know who you are and that I couldn't have done it without you guys.

And thanks to anyone I ever even met. I've enjoyed every rp encounter I've had, even the ones with people I've only met once  ;D

I'd like to say a huge thanks to everyone in  the Dark Empire. Without you Parallo would never have come into existence. Thanks aswell to the old Way of The Hammer guild, Proglin and all them. My first character loved them all. Hes gone now though.

Well at least I'm on one person's list >.>

Anyways, my turn (not in any specific order other than who came to mind first):

UtM - First in mind is always Underthemoon. No matter what character he plays, when he plays it there is always bound to be some fascinating RPing going on. He has helped me to refine my RPing, and has always been a good advisor.

Zhai - A very small but also very important influence on my RPing. I remember the day I met Zhai. I was walking around the Hydlaa Plaza, was actually about to go give all my trias to Xillix for the Vespers (again). And this time Xilly had Zhai, a new player that was taught and ready for playing and even RPing. Since that day, RPing in planeshift was much better for me, and planeshift as a whole was better off RP-wise. As well, Zhai and I always had good times in RP. Oh, and thanks for helping the Rangers to be great.

Xillix - Ah yes, Xillix. I met Xillix soon after returning from a bit of an absence in my first year of playing. I learned a lot from him, and he provided some great RPing. He is also the one who led to me really meeting Underthemoon through the character of Janeous.

Peeg - As loyal as his character, he has been a good friend and equally good guild member.

Duraza - You have helped give my character a bit more.... Character xD You always provide some fun RP and I enjoy RPing with you.

Kaerli - While your character needs to stop making my character out to be some sort of god-like warrior, you are a loyal guild member and a great person to turn to for helping teach other members. You are fun to RP with in the small amount of time we ever do so anymore.

Zorbels - Zorbs was one of my first RP influences. She and others, many of whom I am forgetting, helped me start defining my character, and provided great experiences in which to do so.

Drahlian - You are the one that completely launched me into roleplaying with your Dwarvesbane campaign. It helped me develop Farren Kutter as a character quite a bit.

Mitaki/Suno Regin - One of the first people I ever met, back before I really knew roleplaying, and again when I had begun to. You've been a good friend, even if more on the forums than ingame. I'm sure the ingame part will pick up again with your new character.

Proglin, Bodacher, Einnol, and all the other Dwarven Star hot shots - You guys were always good friends both ICly and OOCly. It was fun during the war and after. Proglin and Einnol especially have been good friends for Roleplaying. Bodacher too, but I mainly knew him as a business relationship (aka, I bought lots of stuff from him once upon a time)

All present and former Rangers of Yliakum (the current guild, not any of the previous ones) - Well just for the support as a guild.

Ah so many

First of all , all of the Imperials: Sangwa, Vexonee,Nurahk,Irick,Parallo,Hwnae,Eolas,Kaugor,Rooker,Garile,Natrina,Alexanddra, Irick,Nixe,Lyaph, Donari (hmmm any I missed? Ah yes Phineas :P) . Thank you all for taking me in when I was new to Planeshift. Had some good times with these lot


Zwenze,Indygo,Lema,Kemedes,Theorex,,, Valourius,Lepohi,  many others who I just can't  remeber their names,   great people.

And a special one for the people who keep thing interesting for RP in Planeshift

 Duraza- C'mon everyone  got to admit, he keeps thing interesting, with out him and his RPs,  a lot of people would be standing around scrating their....nevermind

Izzabella- Now when things were about to get slightly un-eventful for me, her and the outlaws came, a  great RP. ( Though Izzabella might  have some drinking to do  ;D hehe)

As for all you other people who have  talked to me in game, cheers!

Elvi - Leads the guild that made my first ever character what he was.

Drah - The level headed one that kept my faith in the games community at times when I doubted.

Izzabella - Loved her style.

Daehaz - Nice baddie RP that worked well.

Nurahk - Damn nice, intelligent guy.

Lolitra - All though not an amazing amount of time was spent with her, the RPs with her helped build my character.

Noriin, Velh - I found interesting when I dipped back in to planeshift for a month or so.

My first character is on someones list! I'm remembered.  :lol: warm fuzzies. Yes I missed people but the truth is I don't care about any of you enough to sit here until I remember  :P.

Damn nice is a bit of a stretch :P

I both hate and love these threads.  Showing gratitude is great but, there is no chance you will remember everybody who expects some gratitude from you and so many go without something they've more than earned.
So, this list will be missing a ton of names...  But...  well... It's Elvi's fault if it is.  Somehow.  Somehow everything is.

To the list:

Elvi: For taking the blame :P  And being one of the few constant sources of pure entertainment :P

Zwenze: For taking everything I said with a grain of salt.  The fact he didn't believe all my lies made Roleplay more interesting.

Duraza: For... believing he was controlling me when I believed I was controlling him... Still have no idea who was right :P  Made for great RP though.

Parallo: For liking me more than he liked anybody else :P

Roberet: For being that annoying new guy who just wouldn't quit ;)  You turned out quite nicely though.

Feline Prince: For lying and calling me nice :P  And for being the most relaxing company in Planeshift...ever :P

Sangwa: For thinking he was running the Dark Empire when I was <.< :P

Vexonee: For actually doing all the work needed to run the Dark Empire :P

Lolitra: For being so damn fun :P

Zorbels: For being friends with Nurahk even after he tried to kill her

Satayne: For stopping Nurahk from killing Zorbels :P

Xillix: For putting up with me ;)  I bet he could write a book about how hard it is at times.

Venae: For putting up with me with a smile on her face :P

Jeraphon: For putting up with me by ignoring me :P

Vengeance: For the many hugs in the future

Agara: For trusting me and being my friend for... quite some time... to say the least

Kada: For coming back in the next week... please?  pretty please?

Aelya: For making the guild I spent so much time in.

Kayden: There is simply way too much to mention

Ayshe: For supporting me without question when even my Real Life friends were doubtful

Phinehas: For being Phinehas.  For keeping me grinning and making sure my eyes were never unrolled for long.  For being a great Roleplayer, never read anything from you but I'm sure it would be great, and for being one of the ... most interesting friends, that's for sure Tongue  For being old at heart and solid of character.  For being a generally cool and annoying intelligent person.  Umm... For being the greatest lady to gra... okay, maybe not that one.  For being a stubborn humbug.  For never, ever even considering to submit to my leadership.  And for always being glad to see me... even if you don't admit it.



Karyuu/Lina: For being my everything and then, somehow, so much more.

That is pretty confusing. Then again when you take a second look you realize something. I'm Duraza, no one controls me unless I let them purposely in some kind of tricky trap. The question you should ask is how was I trying to trick you. Even I don't know how devious my mind is sometimes :P

You folks all rock. Without you, my characters would have no purpose. Everything I write, every word that comes out of my character's mouths (yes, even the typoed ones), are all for you.

I can't really say you changed the way I roleplay or write, but I can say you continue to give me reason to. I can't name off all of the folks I would like to thank, but if you find any of these characters in your logs...

Arnigus Faymore, Untar Demune/Haunt, Krook Betifal, Hyuken Servent, Aeshion, Arac, Janeous Creene, Jagk Crawn, Grunn, Tria Mepalla, and many others who played little roles.

I want to thank the devs that make all of this possible. Of course, the family is ready to take a baseball bat to my computer  ;D   This game has drawn me in and I have made friends and I have even had heartbreak. But it is here that I can be the creative and hidden self that I am from everyday reality that bites most of the time, at least in my bubble of reality.

Let me say a few things about a few people. I have met so many I can't name you all obviously and don't think I'm not thinking about you becuase you aren't named

First of Rioth, Ganinos, Bodacher, Esserfin and so many others I met in the Dragon Council. I'm really sad to see you guys have mostly went to a NWN server. We had great times with that guild and having had a large part in rebuiling it when it almost fell I felt particularly close to it. Part of me still feels the dragonblood running through me so I hope to see you all on a bit more.

Sangwa, husband to my current character and a joy to roleplay with. Hope to see you online more. Yayelle is waiting ;)

Vexonee, I actually convinced her to join the shadows she told me and man was that one of the best things I ever did ;) A great friend and a great leader of the empire to boot, but it are the fun times we have together I remember.

Parallo, A trader so I don't see him as often as I would want but a great guy to talk with and to smack as he steals a hug again ;)

Suprisingly I've been named 3 times already I believe so please don't kick me for forgetting you if you did mention me. It's the whole of planeshift and all the great people that keep me here. Thanks everyone for the great roleplaying.

Thinking back, I once had counted the number of people on my buddylist. It was something between 300 and 400 then. Until now I guess I'd have to add another 100-200 people to that list.

Stylee - friend IC and ooc, cheering squad for all his guildies, awesome dueler, one of the most dedicated PSers I've known
Patuljaka - "Pat" - always makes brings a smile to my face, extremely hardworking
Tomislav - great guildie, extremely enthusiastic about PS
Durwyn - "master of knowledge" ;)
Lele - a great friend and excellent "questor"
Ithwaynn - my twin.  I miss our talks.
Symasta - he's travelled to another world for a time.  Looking forward to his return.
Palacius - fairly new friend but no less enjoyable
Rongar - don't know you well but I have a pair of your swords which I treasure.  You too are an awesome dueler.
Macanune - late-night duels with you will be missed
Marqsaynt - haven't been around you too often but I truly enjoy your sense of humour
Qeliza - a truly enjoyable travel-mate and dedicated Pser
Dru - first one in PS to call me "Nic" (and it was like an epidemic after that!! ;) )

They may not be the people who have done the most for the game, or the ones who deserve to be thanked the most but they're the ones who kept me around or coming back.

For being the greatest lady to gra... okay, maybe not that one.  For being a stubborn humbug.  For never, ever even considering to submit to my leadership.  And for always being glad to see me... even if you don't admit it.

Yeah, I felt terrible about not including you into my list.  So I thought that pointing out that you shared very much in common with all those you think of as great would be a nice thing to do.

Let's see, first on my list would be Valbrandr and Induane, I've known them for a pretty damn long time now and they have always put up with my behavior, I tell you they have a lot of patience, I respect them greatly.

The old Vaalnor members, Zan: A good friend, down-to earth and wise. Lordbug: goofy and sometimes intolerable, but a great friend still. Agara, I had some good times with her back in the days, even though we've had some differences and lost contact for a while I still consider her a friend. Bardialus, I've known him for a long while, a good friend to have. Lishom: thanks for sticking with Vaalnor for such a long time and your help with keeping us online on the internet :). Ashamn, seemed to agree with my extremely bizarre ideas back in the days, his love for me must have been huge *winks at Ashamn*. Gorzhuul, Taser, Archon and every other Vaalnor member, I love you all, you're good friends.

My old Bloodclaw Inc buddies: Natrina, thanks for recruiting me into your guild, your help that day has paved the road for the long time I have been playing Planeshift. Taldor, Nuage, Ciry, Gparagonx and Maaximus, I know you haven't been around for a while but there you go.

Random people I like to thank: Sangwa, he's always been patient with me, thank you Sangwa. Nurahk, even though I do not appear on any of his lists, probably with the intention of making me angry, thanks for always being an ass :). This may be a given, as the GMs and Devs should know they are appreciated by the 5+ year history of the game, but it is always good to point it out after a tough couple weeks.  And since I'm new, I just wanted to say thank you again for their work on the latest update and ironing things out the past week.  The new icons are great, the game runs much smoother, and it has been fun searching around for all the cool new things.  Oh, and especially thank you for everyone that helped fix that tedious male dwarf bug!  Just when I was getting used to it, it is gone  :D.  Thanks to all with their patience on IRC, the ones that worked on the heart of the game, and in Yliakum.

I just want to say a big thank you to the dev. team for making Planeshift, I had a lot of fun here and it was my first mmorpg experience - sometimes I didn't embrace the roleplay elements as much as I could, but I still tried.

And of course, mmorpg's are nothing without the community and players...

Thanks to Elvi and all the Outlaws for putting up with my nonsense and to all those I knew while I was here (the list would be really long, but you know who you are!!).  I do miss a lot of you and I haven't forgot the fun we had.  That doesn't just go to those I was in a guild with.. or just to those I dueled with regularly (although YWL was fun to organize!!)... but to everyone - so much imagination, deep and interesting back-stories and great thought had gone into people's characters and it was that dynamic that was most powerful in the game.

I never thought I'd say it, but the RP is one of the things I now miss the most.

I wish I had time to get back into the game again but I really don't (2 kids, 2 jobs and a load of other responsibilities make it near impossible)

So to the community and game that I left without really saying bye or thank you to...

Thanks for everything, hope you're all doing well and still having fun.  I have fond memories.. even of the few I didn't necessarily get on that well with. ;)

I'd like to say a public thank you to the GM team.  Since you are invisible most of the time we are not aware of all the work you do.  I recently had something quite catastrophic occur due to a server crash, and it looked like I would loose about a week's worth of spare-time questing.  A group of GMs and settings devs (I believe) came to my rescue, and were quite attentive to watching out for when I logged on and immediately assisting me.  My thanks to Bovek, Rizin, Roberra, Pizik, and also the unknown advisors who helped me locate assistance on this.

On December 1st, 2008, bored of either killing prostitutes in GTA: San Andreas or sniping people from across the street in Hitman: Blood Money, I decided to try a new type of game. I had heard of these MMORPGs, but didn't know if I really wanted to invest the time (and money most of all). But then on my usual search for open source games I came across this one, and one year later I can say I've had a lot of enjoyable times here. I chose to revive this thread because I first saw it not long after I signed up for the forum, but had not played long enough to warrant a post. I always thought it was a great idea that amongst all the talk of RP vs PL, wipe vs non-wipe, and all other PS issues, that there was a place where players can show their appreciation for one another. And so today, I just wanted to finally take a moment to thank all those that made playing this game such a wonderful experience, such as:
