I see there are some new sub-categories to the role playing forum. Would it be jumping the gun to ask for some guidance or introductory posts for them? Perhaps they are so new Weavers has not had a chance. I suppose a welcome to the moderating team is in order as that is a nick I do not recognize. So welcome.

I noticed the new categories too and was also curious about the new mod. So, being the nosy person I am I decided to check out the last posts by Weavers. The writing was all grade A++ and more than a few of the character names in the stories popped out and kicked me between the eyes. If I was to venture a guess I'd say the new forums section is in good hands. ;)
Also, I'm not sure but it didn't look to me like Weavers even had mod status yet so, could explain the lack of introduction for the new categories, etc. :P

I had thought I was posting prematurely and indeed there is now an introductory post. Thank you. No criticism was intended, insomnia can play tricks on you and I was not sure they were really new or if I had just noticed them for the first time. I think I shall mosey over to Comedy and post a bad joke.

We have written a small 'guide' to using the new child boards. You may find it HERE (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=30272.0).
As you may have noticed, the Devs have their hands a little full at the moment, not to mention being a little distracted. We will get everything worked out in the Story forum and child boards once things have settled down.

Who are you? =/
You come on here acting like a mod or something, at least explain why you're using a normal forum account. As it stands without any mod or dev explaining these things, you look like you're taking credit for someone else's work. No one really knows you aside from story posts, it'd be nice if you said how you're "in charge" of these boards.

Oh, and I assume they'll be bumped up when the adminds/devs geta chance to it. Right now the devs/admins kinda have other plans, like, oh, getting a new client out to you all to play with. :)

I deserved that much. But still, we don't know who he is. His name just appears there and all at once he starts making posts like that. I like to at least have a little background on the person before they go and take charge of these things.

Besides, if the people in charge of the PS forums want to go out and hire an Eastern European, ex-KGB, forum mercenary for hire, veteran of the Windows ME forum flame war of 2000... Well, that's their prerogative. *looks around suspiciously* But perhaps I have said too much...
And for the record, I'd bet Steuben's farm too. :P
