The client told me i got the wrong version and i have to update the game.
I did, it updates 2 times, but without a success.
My client was version 0.19.
Then i saw that there is a new one, the 0.20
I downloaded it, de-installed the old one and installed the new 0.20 and updated again
But the client still is telling me it is version 0.19 and i can't login. Its saying i have to update, but i did the update a few times now and deleted the version.dat too multiple times.
Can anybody please tell me what to do now?
My system is a kubuntu linux.

DONT RUN THE UPDATER the updater is not updated
-
Well, i am new to this game.
What do i have to do?
Just wait until tomorrow when the updater is updated too?
I tried to start the game directly after installing version 0.20, but even there it said wrong version.
-
if you have the .020 client it should connect with no problems and it could take a week or more to get the client on the updater
-
don't use the update, it seems it's downgrading from 0.20 to 0.19 after you've installed the 0.20 version. I've experienced the same.
-
You need to download the new client than install the new client on your pc. Than without updating you will be able to play the game. Thats how i did :\. But server seems to be down right now.

Why is this?
Also, I know everyone is aware of this, but the front page of planeshift.it is still down.

It really very simple why it will take that long
Time and resources. All the people in the PS teams are here with no other reason than they want to be. there is no pay involved. So with limited time and resources it's a matter of what needs to be done first and since the new version works straight from the downloadable file without the updater it's not a priority.
so i know it's been said before but this is how you fix it.
- Remove your old client
- Download the new client
- Install the new client
- DO NOT RUN THE UPDATER ( yes the game will scream at you to do it but just like the wife/husband or parents when you want to play ignore them)
- log in and have fun
-
I don't understand... one week?
I downloaded the "new?" client 0.20 with rtorrent in about 1 hour, speed was very nice
*edit*
ok, its me again
I re-installed the client now and its working
However, when i log in to the server i get the advise to check the updater
Where can i find the information when i can update?

-
try here:
and after installation, make sure you tell it to not try to auto update at the end of the installation. then load up the game and ignore the message that tells you there are updates available, and try to log in.
-
u said try here, but then it dosnt say anything, im guessing sompn is supposed to be there, ither u accedentaly didnt put it or, its not showing for some reason
