So Theres Farming,what else?
-
There will be LOTS and LOTS of jobs to chooe from
Bartender, Farmer, Blacksmith you name it.
-
Well, the first demo (atomic blue) haven\'t come out yet so I would say we don\'t have a clue but instead of posting a new thread check the older threads but some jobs that probably will be in the game is:
Smith
Miner (maybe not)
Farmer (maybe not)
Warrior (different types)
Mage (probably different sorts)
Cleric (depends on how much the gods is involved)
Druid (who knows?)
Monk (some talk about, don\'t know)
-
Tearlach: how do you know...?
There will be jobs but I\'m sick of seeing classes posts...WE DONT HAVE CLASSES....again:
WE DONT HAVE CLASSES :P
-
lol, who needs a job? just gain everyone\'s pity :D :D
-
There will almost certainly be blacksmiths, miners and farmers, maybe bards.
-
the Kendaro has said it once and the Kendaro will say it again. jobs do not mean trade skill. trades make your items, jobs gain your income. don\'t be misslead by the two.
-
so I would say we don\'t have a clue
is this an answer to your question Whitti?
-
miner
smither
mage (i dont know how they would make money other than fighting)
Fighter
bartender
cattle raiser (guessing)
farmer
stock broker (jk)
shop keeper
home seller (maybe)
stealer
scribe (prob not)
monk (maybe)
king/noble (prob.)
i wonder if it will be a fuedal society with lords, serfs, lesser lords, kings, knights.
plenty others... (much better than rs)
-
Read the government part in the Settings section...
-
who need a liscen??? I\'l be a free lance bounty hunter
-
Could mages, especially Lemurs, be good at alchemy? Like making paper, poison, ink etc...
Cause Lemurs are elementalists, and alchemy involves elements and all that, right?? ?(
-
well if there are miners i will be one of those
so you guys can buy ores from me :D
-
Alchemy is not making poisons and paper and such. It\'s the attempt to turn base metals into gold (ie lead), as they are heavy and soft and are in many ways similar to gold (chemichal and otherwise)
-
So there are job and no classes? So basically you can be a jack-of-all-trades?
-
not exactly, you would usually specialise, but that IS an option.
-
Thats nice to know... but how many character can be on 1 account? Just planning ahead :)
-
A new job proposal:
techsupport. You have to be able to deal with nimrods and psychos all day without cracking.
I remember the bad old days when I worked as MSN techsupport. You could have all kinds of funny jokes, like people trying to connect ADSL to a 386 with 4 mg of ram or stuff like that. Or how bout the people who call and wonder why it doesn\'t work (duh, the power went out in the storm, etc.). You could have a sanity rating that this would slowly eat away at, but you could make a little money ($9 per hour) doing it. Hehe, :( Moo
moo mooo mooooo

cool can U post thata again??
anyhowz warrior and mage a job??
I have an other idea for jobs make them up ur self on \"the other game i was a shoe salesman :P
maybe a drugsdealer that would be cool or a car thief huh what do U mean no cars??!! ow U mean this isn\'t gta 4 forum??
-
a shoe sales men???
what are u gonna sell like some sort of armoured boots?that seems cool...but if u just wanna piss around like Ed Bundy then thats no fun.
-
Heh heh just imaging what i could do with armored boots :)
-
armored boots?? that\'s idiot!! o yeah i\'m gonn attack U and aim directly for your foots cauz that\'s the most vulnarable spot on your body
havin shoes with spikes on it would be cool or flyin shoes or magic shoes wich make U run like light speed or even warp speed
*kchh* scotty beam me up
-
Armored boots is in fact pretty effective, try kicking someone with a pair of those boots.
Besides they are really effective against hobbits and dwarves...
-
yeah U are right try kickin some1 with armored boots they weigh like 1000 kilogram. spiked shoes would be more effective and hobbits aren\'t gonna be in ps! and i don\'t believe dwarves are that small they can hit your stomach EZ so why would they bother hittin your feet??
-
Hammers and toes...
Besides a big bulky pair of armored boots is intimidating whilst spiky ones get stuck in your legs sooner or later.
You don\'t want to hear the sound of flesh and tendons ripping with every step you take.
And stomping on a dwarf with your bulky shoes makes a satisfying(?) sound when his head goes down his stomach.
Me thinks me tired... or bored, damn homework...
-
yeah try walkin with a pair of metal blocks on your feet
that makes a pleasant sound everybody could hear U a mile away and it\'s slow too try running with them.
and the spikes don\'t get caught in your legs not if U point them straight forward like this:

o yeah and about makin your homework: DON\'T! lol that\'s what I do
-
Sometimes you manage to hit yourself in the heel, imaging how that will feel with those spikes, besides those spikes will be pretty unbalancing and easily to fall on...
You get used to metalboots, they are also a part of the platemail and the chainboots are used in conjunction with chainmail and so one, get a mount if you can\'t move (although I won\'t recommend swimming wih any type of metal armour.)
-
ok chainmail shoes sounds realistic! finaly! but heavy armord boots that\'s imposible!! and useless I will wear no shoes in game or maybe just some leather boots!!
-
Still they were in use, even if they were mostly used by mounted knights...
