Title: stuck

I was talking to neave in the tutorial, and I had just got a quest when all of a sudden the server crashed!  :o I went back on, but I couldn't find a way to continue with the quest. any ideas?

oo that really sucks..there is pretty much nothing that can be done as far as I know...never thought of that..my suggestion is to start oever with a new char....

this has happened to me twice today.

the first time, i was within seconds of completing the tutorial, and could not continue dialog after logging in again.
remade my char.

the second time, the sever went down in roughly the same place, and i -was- able to resume by saying the right thing, and actually made it into the game world.

if you cannot continue the tutorial, you can remake your char, or ask a gm for help.  (/die won't help you)
that's all i can think of.

The best thing I can suggest is maybe to check your PS logs to see what the last thing the NPC said before you crashed was. Hopefully it was something as simple as "tell me when you are ready" and you can pick up from there... If that doesn't get a response, maybe try whatever phrase started that quest to begin with, like "so-and-so sent me." Maybe just work your way backwards until something triggers something and you can pick up with the chain of quests again. If that doesn't work, unless a GM can help you out, the only thing I can think of would be starting over with a remade character. I really hope it doesn't have to come to that though. Good luck and hope you two figure it all out.  :)

Edit: By the way, the chat logs folder (in Windows at least) is in your Planeshift folder in Program Files. My Computer --> Local Disk (C:) --> Program Files --> Planeshift Crystal Blue --> Logs ;)

i'm on a mac...   X-/
anyways, I just made a new character and finished the whole tutorial as fast as i could while hoping the server wouldn't crash on me. :lol: it worked.
