I've downloaded the new client but when I try to open the client it keeps giving me "unexpected error" and shutting down. Also will not let me open updater. When installing the torrent-ed file, several files could not be written and had to be "ignored" to install the game. I'm assuming that had something to do with it, but I don't know how to fix it. I'm direct downloading the installer right now and I'm about to uninstall completely and "clean install" the client. If I need to do anything more please let me know and I will of course write again about the results of what I'm doing now. Thanks.

Clean install didn't work.

What OS are you using? Are you an admin with full read/write privileges? is there anything running in memory that shouldn't be?
Those files that had to be ignored are more than likely the reason why it isn't running properly. If you want to play the game, you're first going to have to figure out why it won't install properly.

I ran the direct download installer, and I had the same result. Wasted hour. X(. Yes I have complete admin priveleges on my comp. It's only certain files in the installer that are not writing. the actual error message is, "Error opening the file for writing." I'm going to try and completely shut down my system and restart and hopefully that will work. But I have to go to work now. Please someone more tech savvy than me, figure this out!

So rebooting my comp did wonders. Everything is ok now. Sorry to have bothered anyone... *walks away bashfully*
