It was a good ceremony, as was to be expected from the Entertainer. Tears were shed by old friends that remember Proglin, as jolly as he was.
It was Einnol that found his brother in his home. A while ago Proglin fled to the safety of his house to start working on a brand new tournament. The pages he intended to fill were only half done. Proglin's head on his last half finished work, he died of old age and sheer tiredness.
Now time had come to dispatch of Proglins body and throw him in the burial well on the road towards Ojaveda. Farewell Proglin, may you finally get your well earned rest.
[Most people that take the time to write a farewell thread tend to stay. I'm not going to stay. We had fun guys and girls :) thanks to those that deserve it. So... bye to all from Proglin the Entertainer, former GM Yill and those that knew me as a person]
-
[Goodbye Proglin. With your tournaments, your games and your events you really brought something to the game. You will be missed.]
-
An end is often a new beginning. I hope you journey well and that as you fade to the next plane fate has lain before you that you still remember some fondness here even as it grows distant and fades to a memory of a memory. May any new beginnings that await you be fruitful and may you be rejuvenated fully once again, free in the pursuits you care so much for.
Traverse well my friend, our pursuits are destined to cross again. Fate ordains it.
-
[Aww..It is so sad to see you leaving. You were a great player, and it was nice to have met you. Farewell and good luck with whatever you do]
-
/me cheers silently
[ Another old friend heading away to new horizons :-\ Bye Prog! Have fun wherever you go! ]
-
[..... :'( .............Goodbye Proglin, you always had a cheer about you that brought PS to life]
-
[Farewell, Proglin. Yes, you will be missed. It was a pleasure to know you.]
-
I can't say I ever went to one of your events as I'm not a dueler, but everything I've seen paints you as a cherished member of the community. Before you go, do you think you could write a guide on how to organize successful events?
-
You will be greatly missed my dear friend, you've been around for many years and have taught lots of us what it meant to role play. I am saddened by your leaving, but I do hope you keep in [touch from time to time. I wish you all the best in your life.]
-
Why did I miss the ceremony? Why did you not invite me?! ... I'll catch you again. Here or there. No matter if you are "not available".
-
[I have no idea yet how to RP a response. When I try to find the words, they just slip further away from my sight. Anything that I could say here I think you already know, so I'll just say "Goodbye and best of luck, my dear friend."]
-
[Aw, I didn't know you were leaving...I didn't even know about the funeral, I would've definately come. Well, cya Proglin, had a lot of fun at the tournaments, and you were a pretty important figurehead of events I think. :P]
-
He was more than a figurehead. He was the organizer.
Can you think of any other player who has regularly organized popular and successful events? Even if all his events were dueling tournaments, I'm sure there's a lot we could learn from him. That's why I think it would be nice if he left us with some instruction on how to repeat his successes. I know it's a lot to ask.

One other organized such a successful event. Zan. The Hydlaa Festival of the Hunt was a fantastic success. I agree though, would be nice to know how he did it :)

May Laanx frighten the shadow from thy path dear friend I hope you find the elixir in your epic journey. :sorcerer:

[I'm starting to feel older and older with all the people leaving that I have known for so long. Luckily even older players are starting to return so i don't feel as old >.> Farewell Proglin, you know full well you'll be missed by me.]
-
[How sad to see you leave, Proglin. Your tournaments were the best ones organized and I had loads of fun selling beer imported from Ojaveda there. I will remember that characteristic dwarf forever! May our paths cross again and may you prosper in your chosen way.]

Silavur takes a deep breath and slowly walks up to Proglin's grave. He stands silently, his eyes unwavering from the sight he never contemplated seeing. He sighs and crosses his arms while he silently pays his last respects to his old friend and leader.
[Wow buddy, it comes as such a surprise. The above is Silavur's only reaction available. Speechlessness. I don't think anyone you've ever really talked to or RPed with will really be the same. I understand your reasons, but I want you to know you left behind alot of grieving friends. We will miss you sorely in Yliakum and will think of you often as we go about our normal gaming lives. :) Be well.]
-
Garido' Eldamart.
I will see you in the Great Halls one day. Until then, A N'alge!
Arka goes to find Einnol to comfort him in his loss.
[I am still in shock. I can hardly believe this. We have lost one of the greatest players this game has seen]
-
[I shall miss you Yilly :'(]

Hassadria feels a great loss....
[I can hardly hold back my tears. Even if we didn't know us well, you've always been my ideal, Proglin. You will be missed greatly. I wish you the best for the path that lays in front of you. Hassadria]
...as well as Miaua does.
[PlaneShift won't be the same without you. Your Roleplay and ideas were wonderful. Thanks for everything! I can only wish you the best in your forthcoming life. We won't forget. Miaua.]
-
Aww. Its hard to see old players leave. Thanks for all the events and for educating this community 'bout roleplaying. I wish you the best.

Xoraxa stands in front of Proglins graveyard shivering and tears running down her checks.
Laying down a fine dagger into the grave she whispers "Oh dear .. this one I just made as a present for you .. "
She starts silently sing an old dwarfen blessing. Having ended it she stands still for a long while.
Abruptly she turns and leaves the place not talking to anybody.
[Dear Proglin, special thanks to you for all the advice and introduction to the questions and specialties that helped me to get into computer based roleplaying in a foreign language. I will miss you a lot!]

An old Klyros dressed in rags enters the city. News about his dear friend's death had reached his ears, but it came as no surprise to him. Deep down inside he knew it all along, he had felt him "depart".
He then heads slowly, his cane shaking a bit, to the secret Survivor's cache and takes out his proud but worn by time uniform and two swords wrapped together in a cloth.
The Klyros pays his final respects to his old friend at the burial well.
"Gloodbye, my dear Proglin. Wherever you may be right now, I pray to my ancestors to guide my soul to yours in the afterlife. We shan't be apart for long..." he says and smiles sadly.
He then unraps the cloth and ties one of the swords to his waist. "Tongue Binder shall remain by my side until my death. Please accept my trusted Vulcan Torch to light your path and guard you from oblivion", Ralleyon whispers softly and hurls the second sword in the burial well.
-
/me mourns Proglin, and buries two weapons of seduction in the ground near him.
-
On hearing the news, the dwarf sighs heavily and goes over to the still unlit fireplace. Raking out some cold ashes he smudges and dulls his ceremonial armour, shield and battle hammer. Meticulously he puts on his armour, then reaches into a chest and takes out a small ceremonial hammer made of the purest gold. He hangs it from his belt, picks up his shield and battle hammer and steps out of the house to make the short pilgrimage to the burial well.
At the well, he notes the evidence of other mourners, and stands in silence for some time, honouring the memory of the old Dwarf. As the morning light from the Crystal brightens, He snaps to attention and Salutes before driving the haft of his battle hammer into the ground and hanging his shield from the head.
Taking the gold hammer from his belt, he raises it to the crystal and finally speaks.
"Farewell Proglin Unser, may the gods smile on your endeavours in the next realm, may your purse and your belly always be full"
Swinging the gold hammer around his head, he hurls it into the depths of the Burial well, praying that it finds it's way to Proglin's side. He bows his head, then picks up his Shield and hammer. He salutes once more, then turns away to return to the house, to restore his equipment to the perfect condition that a guild master and leader of dwarves would expect.

Beremat wakes up from his long, unexplained sleep. He finds out about his loss...
He travels to the grave and sheds a single tear, from which a small stem grows. :'(
[So I finally come ack from 0.3.012, and you're gone :'( :'( :'( You were an awesome friend and will be missed.]
-
As young Progwyn wakes up from a restless sleep he wonders... Will he move to the lands where his parents made such a name for himself?

Does this mean you're coming back Prog!? I just recently returned too!!!!
-
Eurac rattles his dice and jingles his tria at the mere mention of Proglin s name.
-
Just in case ... the Way of the Hammer is still present. Pekol!
-
Progwyn took the long trip once more. His mother now dead, it seems like the only right thing to do to bring her to Proglin and bring her to her old love.
No one’s here.
The landscape seems changed.
Progwyn sighs and carefuly places his mothers pendant in the burial well.
‘Orphaned and friendless, is there a meaning to any of this? Is this all part of Talad’s big plan? ‘

As the end of the work week comes closer, people make plans for leisure activities (https://www.planeshift.it/calendar/) and might meet more probably. Surely in Kada-El's.
