Do Enkidukai have hair? I'm just wondering if the fur on their head might be like hair for them, or if it would be the same length as the rest of the fur on their body.
-
I and other artists such as Karyuu have drawn them with head-hair like what a human might have. However the game models and 'official' art suggest they don't have head-hair. So I'm not quite sure. Females I generally would draw with hair, but males I generally seem to draw as just fur.
-
They should just have fur, unless they decide to grow it out.
-
Let's see if we can't get an answer from Settings.
-
Well they wouldn't necessarily "grow it out" because they don't really get daily fur-cuts or anything...it'd be the same length. Unless it grows faster than the rest of their fur, they couldn't really do that I don't think. ;(
-
I haven't seen anything in the game or the documents that implies they have head hair other than their fur.
-
I would propose that certain types (packs) of Enkidukai are (capable) of growing manes... now whether they choose to treat this as hair, as fur, or simply trim it back to be 'normal' fur length is open for interpretation, but I think it's about the most logical way to say "Some do, some don't."
Personally, I prefer to envision them with actual hair or hair-like fur on their heads, but I haven't seen anything to suggest this is actually the case for Yliakum's felid race.
-
One word: Wigs.
-
But if an Enki is bald, doesn't that make it like one of those hairless cats?
So... a wig is actually a full length fur coat.
Ew.
A bald Enki.

I think like male lions Enkidukai can have manes, and I've seen some other players using them as well. So why not?
-
There already is a pack of enki that grow manes according to the settings, I forget which pack, I don't think the skin has been made for it either yet.
-
Hair is good...
My vote for yes.
-
I always liked how they made the "Suwari" look in HJ, but thats just my opinion.

Keep in mind the case for people who spent several years in Planeshift is slightly different. Artists like Moogie and Karyuu drawn Enkidukai with hair, but it was something that had its beginning back when we knew nearly nothing about Planeshift setting. This issue was brought up some time ago and what we learnt was that Enkidukai don't have hair, save for manes (which clearly aren't supposed to look like human hair). Most artists acknowledged this and later drawn hair solely out of personal preference, keeping in mind its an inconsistency.
All the same, some don't seem to even acknowledge this fact... See Seperot ;)
-
Meh, would be nice if they had hair though. I feel left out of the hair experience in my description. ;(
-
I'm not sure, hair is fun but I think the Suwari look (like Neko said) looks a lot better.
-
Enki are not cats. The Settings team will decide how lose they will define their appearance.
