I have been trying to update the client and everytime I try ans update, I get an error teeling me "couldn't connect to mirror", it tries around 4 other mirrors and also doesn't work. What can I do to get my client updating. I am using windows xp sp2 and firewall and all antivirus' are disbled. Please help.

the updater is purposely taken down.
if the game loads and lets you log in, there is nothing else you need to do in order to be able to play the game.

Oky Doky. I was also wondering if you can tell me how I can find the version number of my game client. Also how can you tell that the client has been changed. What I mean to say how can you tell if another version nuber is older or newer.

If when you try to log in the client tells you that you are running the wrong version then you know you have the wrong version and for now need to download the new version. To tell what version you are running look in the upper left corner for the number.

is there anyway an individual patch can be released? im only like, one version behind the new one, but i cant play because i am behind one. my download limit is rather small, and as much as planeshift is cool, i cant justify using something like 25% of my limit in one hit, to get a 10mb change or whatever.
is there anyway that change from .19 to .20 can be downloaded as a patch style thingo?

I don't believe so, as most graphic-related stuffs were revamped in the .20 release, so essentially, everything was changed.
Later releases, that is what the updater program is for. (to download just the small fixes and what not from release to release)
