Title: Errors on the mainpage
Post by: Kudoy Corowot on December 21, 2007, 06:07:30 am
On Planeshift's main page, there are several errors.

Here's what's posted:

"It's the first time in our long history that we decide to participate to a fund raising campaign. The campaign is about a fellow project which is going to start on the same 3d engine we use: Crystal Space (CS). The project is a game which will be developed with open source code and open art, between the CS and the Blender communities. 6 developers will be payed with the fund raising money to develop such a game, named Apricot, and prove that Crystal Space+Blender are capable of creating commercial quality games. All this can indirectly also benefit PlaneShift, because we can reuse some of the enhancements which will be developed during the Apricot development. If you want to participate please check this page."

Notes (these are fragments, not sentences):

"decide" should be "decided"
"6" should be "Six" since it's the first word in the sentence.
The plus sign really doesn't belong, it should be replaced with the word "and"
remove the also after indirectly.

Really, the entire entry just needs to be rewritten. This is a great idea (donating) and it deserves a quality post.

I really enjoy Planeshift and the game masters are owed a ton of respect for everything they've done with the project!

"payed"  should also be changed to "paid"

But, I believe Talad wrote it, and since English isn't his native language, these minor mistakes will happen.  I'll poke him in the right direction.

All in all, what's most important is that people can read it and understand what is written.
