thats what's listed under your all programs list.

go to where you installed the game on your hard drive, and you will see a folder called logs.  your chat history is in there.

You can often get to the correct folder if you look at the properties of one of those start menu shortcuts and click on the "find target" button, assuming you are using Windows. If there is no such button you should at least be able to see the correct path where the executable is listed. The program resides in the base PlaneShift directory and the logs are its log sub-directory, one file for each character name.

C:\Program Files\Planeshift\Logs\character_name_chat.txt

If your Planeshift folder isn't located there, go to your Start menu and right-click the "Planeshift tech demo" shortcut. Go to properties and then look at what location is mentioned behind "Target".

Hey there, I also have a problem with my logs. I could locate all the ones from the previous versions but since 0.4.01 has been released I can't find any "logs" folder though I checked I had selected the "log chat messages" option ingame. I don't know if it's because of the release or not.

If this might help I'm on a Mac. I didn't post this on the Mac-dedicated board because i wasn't sure it was a Mac-only issue, plus there was already an existing thread (an old one though).
If anyone has an idea about his, or has the same problem, please tell me.

For PlaneShift 0.4.01 Client, your PS logs folder on a Mac running OS X Tiger or OS X Leopard is under the following pathname:

/Users/your_user_name/Library/Application Support/PlaneShift

For PlaneShift 0.4.01 Client, your PS screenshot folder on a Mac running OS X Tiger or OS X Leopard is under the following pathname:

/Users/your_user_name/Library/Application Support/PlaneShift

...both folders are in the same place as it happens :)

Indeed. I actually just got the same answer in my console log while looking for something else... Thanks for the help, everything is in there. I just wonder why these files wouldn't appear when running a search in my computer, but nvm.
