Title: Is there crafting?

I noticed there isn't much to mine for (just iron and gems?), and I think those should be more advanced things to mine for...but in the meantime, I did notice a forge in the tutorial, but I didn't get to make anything in the tutorial :(...is there a way to make items in the game? Also could there be more stuff to mine for (like clay), which would in turn be ingredients for crafting different things?

there is much ore to mine than just iron ore and gems.  exactly specifics will not be given, and players are recommended to consult their fellow players in game and enrich the world RP by doing so.
