Well I discovered through the 'help' of a good friend of mine, that if you put up an away message in PS and one of your buddies decides to flood you with PM's you'll get muted, because you're away message repeats... And its the same message... So when you get back you've been muted! :X
Ahem, well anyways, I think thats something that ought to be fixed... Maybe make it so it doesn't count for the flood rule?
just a little example.
(19:48:25) friend tells you: [Hi.]
(19:48:35) You tell friend: [heya]
(19:48:46) friend tells you: [I'm bored...]
(19:48:46) You tell friend: [auto-reply] [studying... :P]
(19:48:55) friend tells you: [HEY.]
(19:48:55) You tell friend: [auto-reply] [studying... :P]
(19:49:00) friend tells you: [Lalala]
(19:49:00) You tell friend: [auto-reply] [studying... :P]
(19:49:02) friend tells you: [lalala]
(19:49:03) You tell friend: [auto-reply] [studying... :P]
(19:49:06) friend tells you: [LALRRLARR]
(19:49:06) You tell friend: [auto-reply] [studying... :P]
(19:49:10) friend tells you: [spamspamspam]
(19:49:10) You tell friend: [auto-reply] [studying... :P]
(I managed to walk past the computer at this point and notice the flood warnings, and was able to quickly turn off my away message before I was muted)
(19:49:14) friend tells you: [S[AAAAAAAAAM]
(19:49:19) friend tells you: [spam]
(19:49:23) friend tells you: [SPAM.]
(19:49:26) You tell friend: [whew, you almost got me muted :P]
(19:49:31) friend tells you: [SPAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
(19:49:35) friend tells you: [Lmao.]
(19:49:37) You tell friend: [;D brb]

Gee i wonder who did that? *cough* RAA *cough*

Make a bug report about it, that would probably work better :)

That isn't the point! :P
And its not a bug... really, more of a bad feature.
-
;D
I was just thinking about this yesterday.
Perhaps there should be a limit to how many times you can /tell someone when their /away is on?
-
And its not a bug... really, more of a bad feature.
I am sure this is not intended behavior, and therefor a bug. And otherwise this would be a good feature request :). Anyway, to get this changed, a report in the bug tracker is the best way.
-
This kinda isn't a bug, Lanarel.... 'Tis slightly obvious. :P
-
This kinda is, so report it.
-
It is? But it's not implemented.

Q: How many testers [that track bugs for the game] does it take convince someone that they need to report a bug?
A: 3 so far
Please make a bug report out of this so that the devs can determine if this is a bug or not. Posting bugs [or feature requests] on the forum will not get you as far as if you post them on the tracker where the devs are more likely to see them and work on adding them when they have time.

Make it 4 testers, and you've got yourself a deal!

Reported to flyspray, (http://www.hydlaa.com/flyspray_upgrade/index.php?do=details&task_id=913) can we have a lock?
-
thread moved to it's proper place.

Hmph, I could have sworn at one time the away messages were ignored by the server, specifiically to avoid this. It's a bug!
