well I just read the newspaper today with the theme mmorpgs, planeshift was amongst the biggest five with more than half a million users, what they don't know is the number of active users.
here it is translated:
Planeshift:
Exiting open source alternative who for once can be played on linux (but also windows and mac). Also here we are in the fantasy genre with knights, forts and battles, it's free for all and still under development. More than half a million plays planeshift.

LOL oh no, well they don't do their research pretty well, the newspaper metro xpress is a free newspaper. One you read when you're in the train or bus or wherever you're going.

he could have adjusted the statistic to reflect the +1 to total post count by him making a post to show the total post count, when he made the post to show the total post count, thereby making his post correct for that time.

What Neko said, and ATM means At The Moment, logically presuming at the time before I hit the 'post' button. It's even more logic then Vulcan soup!

That is obviously based on the number of accounts built up over the last three years, and not is representitive of the actual numbers of people playing. A respectable amount of players play the game in a week, but more like 1/100 of the number of accounts or less.
Have to be carefull with statistics or they will bite you in the end.
