For OS 10.5.x:
1. Go to the Apple Menu, and then "About This Mac" (note: you can find out what version of OS X you have from here)
2. Click "More Info..."
3. Under the "Hardware" tab, click "Graphics/Displays"
4. Your graphics card's name will be listed at the top. Also tell us the amount of VRAM listed.

1. Will look kind of like this (http://diglloyd.com/diglloyd/blog-images/2007/03/02/About.gif).
2-4 will look like this (https://wiki.secondlife.com/w/images/3/3c/MacbookProWorkaround-OpenGLSysInfo.png).
Note the circled graphics card name at the top of the second picture.

For 10.4 or 10.3 the process is similar, though the tabs might be arranged slightly differently.
