Well, I thought i'd do something different, heh!
Instead of griping that the server is down folks, I say, let us thank all the people that work hard hours after long days at work/with family/life in general, who almost always have a few hours left at the end of the day to slave over endless code.
Thank you to all those who scry endlessly, looking for those compile errors, runtime errors, and the worst (but funnest imo) the logical errors.
Thank you too all those who's hard work, has created a lovely world, where our imaginations can be let loose, where friendships and enemities can be forged, and where we, can add our thread to the tapestry that is PlaneShift.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I appreciate having somewhere to go when life just gets too..realistic, and you continue to provide, in spite of all the harping you get, whinning and PvP'er (go play shadowbane) wishes.
Heck, I even got some work done on my Guild Website...Bwahahahahahahaaaa...Steel Blue will be the Third version with Myysst, lucky yous!

Hear hear!
Three cheers.
Bloody great job chaps.
-
Aye, good job Dev's. I'm looking forward to it :D
-
....and I share the sentiment. Having only been a resident of PlaneShift a short time I fully appreciate the effort that has gone into making this world what it is. I rich and varied environment where total strangers from around the "real" world can share an imaginary life and maybe learn something of their real lives. And clearly a labor of love by all the people who have made it happen. Thank you for your time and dedication. \\o//

Yep, thanks, Devs, for doing such a great job with PlaneShift! This game, despite still being in its early stages, is simply amazing with its in-depth setting, its flourishing community, and the promise it shows for getting better. :flowers:
Here's a big round of applause from me: \\o//
-
Good job devs! Even though I usually only lurk and have never played the game consecutively for too long, I can tell you guys are working hard. Thanks alot!

Just got to add my two cents worth: -
Well done Devs, can't wait to explore the new additions when steel blue stabilises. \\o//
Don't let the complainers wear you down, I don't know about most of them but I certainly don't know how to do what you do.
Keep on Coding.

Dude You guys are AWSOME!!!!
-
Thanks. :)

I had a pretty vivid image in my tiny brain after reading some excerpts about Kra town. The result is so beautifull and immersive that my char is now looking for a room there to spend time (that and prospect for some of those gems). Wow, this place is gourgeous.
The Gods like us, surely.
bows down to the Devs and looks up with awe and admiration.
-
Thanks so much Dev's... very nice work and pretty world to explore..I look forward to seeing all the new and exciting addtions/changes...
Thank You soooo very much
-
Indeed-- thanks for the excellent and creative work.
-
A big thanks from me too. Well done! :D

Never getting tired of hearing "thanks" from people I've never seen here before :)
I think the biggest changes however happened and still are happening behind the scenes.
Xillix built a rock-stable settings team delivering content non-stop, engine dept is in similar good shape thanks to Acraig.
We're working on streamlining all the processes and ressources, automating the release process and testing, which should make it possible in future to get out better fixes faster.
Personally I'm especially proud on my GMs who keep up a very high level of moderation ingame, spending thousands of hours online to help players and make the game more enjoyable.
Last but not least I'm happy to have such a great community, making it worth to invest my time and effort into this project.

After bemusedly listening to the drama-trolls in #planeshift (you know who you are. If you are instantly complaining at full volume about any new feature that isn't quite working yet, I'm thinking of you.), I thought I'd say thanks to the devs, especially the art department and engine department who have delivered expanded maps, and a smoother experience. (Settings, well, lotsa broken quests ;) thanks for the thought anyhow)
I like the concept of the introduction system. I think it's a great idea that will in time foster better roleplay.
At the moment, it doesn't work. I don't particularly care. I know that the settings team have a long long list of problem with the introduction system, in six months, they'll be sorted. *shrug* And by then the gullible lemmings will be squeaking madly about something else.
Anyhow, thanks for the release, thanks for the new features, and thanks-in-advance for fixing the new features ::)
-
Hey, thanks Pale. I will sure to tell my people you almost thanked us.
Settings team is not responsible for the introduction system either.
However to all my friends on the dev team, a great bit of work and always plenty still to do.
Happy gaming everyone!
-
Hey, do not forget to thank the bug team!! They work just as hard as anyone else.
-
Xillix: Sorry, didn't mean to sound unappreciative. :-[ I'm loving the amount of effort the settings team is putting in. Just server instability + quests = immense amounts of frustration when you don't know if you're just daft and can't get the phrase, or the quest is now stuffed for you.
Oh, and to whoever is responsible for the /intro system (if not settings), I at least am of the opinion it'll be cool once the bugs are found and squished. ;)
-
Like everyone else here, I would thank everyone involved with making this game possible.
A very good job; my compliments!
-
Pale I know what you meant, I was just giving you a bit of a hard time ;)
You'll get your fixes.
-
Never getting tired of hearing "thanks" from people I've never seen here before :)
Well here comes another then. :) Good job guys. Nice too see PlaneShift progressing.
-
pffft you were all over the forums before I'd even registered an account...I remember you.

I pop in now and then, been awfully busy in last year :)

Extra thanks to the Devs, as players only see the tip of the iceberg of the work that goes into things ingame.
