Title: tutorial help
Post by: wilzthewild on March 07, 2008, 12:31:52 am
I just downloaded 4.0, but i cant get past the first npc in the tutorial. I looked at the guide, but it was for 3.4, and the npc says different things. What do I say?

hmm three things come to mind
1. read what the npc said to you.
2. try what the guide says.
3. panic

"As a general rule if you will say the last thing an npc told you, it will work to make the dialouge proceed. Common triggers might be 'about x' or 'give me y'"
What do I say?

What does she ask you to say? Think of the logical response, is the answer perhaps hidden in the question?
If an NPC says "tell me when you are ready" at the end of a conversation, perhaps it would be wise to answer with "ready" :)

Whats the logical response to "As a general rule if you will say the last thing an npc told you, it will work to make the dialouge proceed. Common triggers might be 'about x' or 'give me y'"? ???

this answer is an automatic answer provided when the player didnt say the right answer. nothing to do with the quest :)

check your logs and look for the last sentence "sensed" she said and answer it :) (try "give me a quest" or "ready" depends on where you stopped)

I tried that. It doesn't work. Could it be some sort of bug?
