I am currious about this because there a a couple of things wished were available.
-
as soon as people start replying to my threads about it.

This would be easier if we have working NPCs, Neko :P
-
For some reason I cannot reply in that thread. I was going to suggest that it remain an initial post with the current list and once a month all subsequent posts are wiped and the first post gets updated. Of course if nobody else can post there either it makes the suggestion rather moot.
I have manged to learn several new skills since .4 but have not discovered any means to practice them. These include pottery, painting, musical instrument, baking, body development and empathy. possibly one or two more. Ah yes, anti-magic. Of course I have not made a particular effort to find these just learning whatever I came across that I didn't already know.
-
no idea why it wouldn't let you post there. the thread isn't locked or anything
-
It baffles me as well. I tried re-opening my browser ... no help. I tried opening it in konqueror ... no good either.
There just is no "reply" button.
-
I can't post there either.
-
Nor I, can any non-privileged account?
-
lemme look into things :)
also going to move this thread to the forum section, since its about the forum :)
*edit*
looks like it worked to me.

He is talking about that post: http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=25012.0
In other words: Why doesn't get the old thread reused (with deleting old stuff)?
Personally, I am just thinking if there should be one list of working skills for the devs anyways, because they should know what they implemented and what not. Just a thought.
-
The devs know what they implemented and what they didn't. A forum list is completely unnecessary for them :]
-
Well, but when there is an existing list (or at least people that could list), why do we have to recreate another one?
-

It is not locked but unpostable.
-
Usually means a thread is locked, then. I can't post in the "Skills that can/cannot be trained" thread either, but I believe Neko wasn't referring to that one when he posted "as soon as people start replying to my threads about it." (Different link.)
-
I know but it was the thread I was and indeed this thread appears to be talking about. It is curious that it is only a partial lock, a half nelson maybe...
Perhaps that thread could be archived already since the new one is being developed.
-
There is no partial lock, it is indeed closed :] It's just that the sticky icon shows up instead of the lock by default, with an important thread. No idea why it was closed, but, there you have it.
C'mon Neko! Aren't you supposed to live here 24/7? :P
-
I think he is too busy hunting bilbous to straighten out this mess. Or maybe chasing Cat Ballou. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xABVf_1pq5k) I am sure he will get to it, perhaps all we need is to drop a little catnip in the right place.
-
the sticky is locked yes. It's outdated, and all it had was offtopic posts in it, and I did create a new thread in the forum issues area of the forum about it, which I did refer to in my opening post in this thread:
as soon as people start replying to my threads about it.

Also, Kary, use a theme that works properly and you see both:

And i was taking my 12 hour nap, so :P
-
So I guess the definitive answer to this threads question is what the birdie said: "Nevermore!" and this too can pass into history.
-
when I have community participation in my thread about updating the list, I will create a new sticky and remove the old one. :)
