I just recently decided that I was kind of bored so I'd come back to PS... But I come back to find there's a new version out, and you can't just update from the old one. And there aren't any direct downloads available, only a torrent. This would be fine with the Mac version, but I'm on my PC laptop now and BitTorrent doesn't work well at all on that (Something to do with ports and/or a firewall or something like that... This college really doesn't want people downloading stuff illegally.) So I'm stuck waiting for the direct downloads to show up.

i'd link in the latest postcard project but i haven't gotten it built yet...

psmirror.org should have a directdownload... yeah it does. regardless of what the version it says it they link to the correct files.

Don't all the mirrors have direct downloads? They all link me to the 0.4 client. On Firefox I just automatically check the status bar when hovering over a link, for its actual address.

Yeah, even though it still says 0.3.20 in the client version, they really all go to 0.4.0.  That really needs to be changed.

Dunno if this'll help but utorrent seems to work 43% better then bitorrent. (for me anyways)


I've been seeding at my max for the pc version of the game for a while, but not too long ago stopped.

Most firewalls work against bittorrent, as its more common then other versions, you might be able to bypass the firewall...


I'm not sure of this though... Welcome back btw.

Just a fyi for the next time you want to torrent something...
