it seems the world in planeshift is on my screen always evening , its always way too dark , in the sewers i can make out a person but its too dark to see his/her face , how can i fix this ?
-
you could try using fullbright altought iv heard it no longer works on some areas
rightclick on the shortcut you use to start planeshift and click properties

this doesn't seem to work , i get a message i cannot do this
-
Try -relight instead. Log off in the map you want lighter, then add that text instead of -fullbright and start the game again. It might take as long as several hours for PlaneShift to fully load, but afterwards you might see some noticeable difference. (Just remember to take -relight out of the target line next time - otherwise it'll take hours to load every time.)
-
You are dwelling in ages past, Karyuu. The lighting system has been replaced so you can't do a relight ;)
-
Mm, guess I saw it suggested for maps that don't use lighter2 yet ._.
-
so that means no -relight ?

so that means no -relight ?
Very few maps will work with that.
-
there is one thing you could do that would light up the paths... big time
if you delate all the lighting files in the ps dir you will get all the floor lit up mulity coloured sure it looks like a drug trip but you can see where you are going
-
found out i have to auto-adjust my monitor lightning for planeshift , so far this is the first and only game where i have to do that in order to play the game without it being too dark
-
I repeat it again.
And again.
And again, if you force me to.
Use a tool that changes the gamma level while the game runs, until PlaneShift may support it one day by itself.
Recommendations:
- for Nvidia: RivaTuner
- for Radeon: ATI Tray Tool
-
the nividia drivers have gamme correction on its own especially if you use the older controll pannel
-
Yes, but you would need to manually change the gamma level, start playing, and after you quit PS, manually change it back.
RivaTuner creates a shortcut in its tray menu which will do that automatically. ATT creates a shortcut link with the same ability.
