Title: how do i access chat logs?

Sorry if I'm in the wrong place, I'm pretty new here, but I'm trying to get to my chat logs, and they are definitely NOT in my planeshift directory (it's got art, data,docs, guide, support) and my game crashes every 5 mins or less (I have already done a bugreport post and am awaiting a response eagerly) and now I was lucky enough to receive a quest but have no idea what I was told because of course the game crashed right when I accepted. Very frustrating.

Local user files are now saved in another folder, depending on your OS:

Linux:         ~/.PlaneShift
MacOS X:    ~/Library/Application Support/PlaneShift
Windows:    Application Data\PlaneShift, falling back to "My Documents"

All options, quest notes, chat logs, and screenshots are now located there.

So for me, it's in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\Karyuu\Application Data\PlaneShift :]

If you are using Vista the path changes slightly: C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\PlaneShift

Also remember in Windows both the Application Data and AppData (depending on which version) are hidden folders, so you will not be able to see them unless you enable the ability to see hidden files and folders.

You guys should make that a sticky or save that in some FAQ or similar.

For me the paths are straigtforward (at least for my system), but it seems that many users don't know their system well.

Well not exactly where I would search for these things (installation and changelog), but I admit: I did read both of them at some time.  :whistling:

Maybe it is time to go to bed.. 9 in the morning already here..

A little strange here (on an iMac) and there`s no PlaneShift file in Application Support...

Anyone else got that? Or an idea where it could be?
(plus no logs or screenshots can be found anywhere on the comp).

Excellent, now I can read my logs. :)

Doing quests is a bit hard when you have to remember all the NPC dialogue.
