Title: Ps crashes...
Post by: Bloodmaniac on March 18, 2008, 11:00:10 am
Hi again, I went around all the threads and tried everything, but PS keeps on crashing, i got a crash log but it's freaking long :
I walk around and play, then PS just crashes like that. I have a Mac OS X version 10.4.11(MacBook Pro), the PS version is new (steel blue).
I made a topic like this one but i think it got deleted :oops:
So i wondered if someone wanted to see my crash log or something. :)

Try the following:

Start "pssetup" from the application folder
change vertex from "default" to "off"

That helped me preventing the crashes after a cupple of minutes.

If you are still not lucky do the following:

1) Open the file psclient.cfg in a text editor.
2) Add the following two lines to the end of that file:

       Video.OpenGL.Shader.Cg.Enable.Fragment=false
       Video.OpenGL.Shader.Cg.Enable.Vertex=false

3) Save the file, and hope for the best.

-Open the file data/config/r3dopengl.cfg in a text editor.
-Locate the following line and delete the leading semicolon:

;Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_ARB_texture_compression  = false

should be:

Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_ARB_texture_compression  = false

-Save the file (be sure the file is saved as text only).
