Title: A game to look into
Post by: Illysia on March 25, 2008, 01:37:39 am
I've notice that some players would like changes in PS that simply aren't going to happen. One of which being more like WOW. I found a game that is surprisingly fun. It is somewhere in between PS and WOW. It's called Perfect World. It's based in Chinese Mythology and has a really pretty world with lots armor, clothes, and things to do. However, I can tell PS will be way better once it has implemented more of what the devs have in mind. One thing that really gets me is that it is a perfect world for RP and there is absolutely no RP there. I 've gotten kinda spoiled playing PS. :) I also like the crafting system better in PS, it makes more sense. And the quest system maybe more difficult but it also makes more sense. there are a lot of things I like and don't like about Perfect World but I think I still like where PS is going better. Anyone else who wants to give it a look can go here : http://www.perfectworld.com.my/ (http://www.perfectworld.com.my/) I would love to know what other people think.

I played that game for a while. The graphics are really good, but I always end up having to turn them down in order to play without spiking fiercely. The grammar is terrible in things such as quests, and the click-to-fight thing is boring. Nice community, though...and flying is fun.

Flying is lots of fun, as long as you don't get knocked out of the sky.  :sweatdrop: I don't know much about the community and the game is based in China so I can forgive them the grammar errors. However, they have all those actions like sit, wave, shruging and more and no one ever uses them.  ??? And you rarely see people just going for a swim. If we could swim in PS, you'd see people swimming in the plaza fountain if they could. Most people just seem concerned with killing anything that doesn't run fast enough... even the helpless little cats and dogs...  :'( I like just going flying just to see what different places look like. I usually hate games where the main objective is to kill things but I like this game because you don't have to do that even if everyone else is.

Hi
Why looking in another game something you can find in ps ?have you never asking what do terea the npc near murago in east hylda ?

Krokignon says: hi terea

Terea Lohdren says: Greetings, traveller.  What can I do for you today?

Krokignon says: can i help you

Terea Lohdren says: I have no tasks for you today.
 Krokignon says: mission
Terea Lohdren says: Looks like you are in search of fame and honor. Unfortunately, I have no tasks

to help you in that.
 Krokignon says: about you
Terea Lohdren says: Hi, my name is Terea and I'm a trainer of many creatures. I prefer eagles and

other predatory birds, but I train larger animals such as rivnaks as well.
 Krokignon says: about rivnaks
Terea Lohdren says: Rivnaks are swift and graceful, yet their wool is pettably soft. They're the

best personal land transportation around; so much so that they're raced for sport. Helping train

them for racing is one of my strengths.
 Krokignon says: give me Rivnaks
Terea Lohdren says: Give you what? Can you be more specific?

Why do (almost) all the free MMORPG's look like GW (http://www.guildwars.com/products/eyeofthenorth/gallery/screenshots/gwen-scr009.php) rip offs? They all got slightly lesser graphics and some 'new feature' like flying, swimming, options to really speak or RL money to IG money. They are all the same mostly without any real story :P
The 'original' (I seriously don't have a clue who started first but GW is the original to me) is enough for me ;) Not too much leveling after reaching lvl 20, and then doing what the title says :D

:flowers:

I like Guild Wars, but I dislike it that everything's instanced. I'm looking forward to Guild Wars 2 which will use the same economic model as Guild Wars 1, but without instancing. And yes, the game's pretty PvP oriented, but so what. It's fun too, on occasion. ;)
And no monthly fees \o/

Perfect world has a lot to do after level 20 (I think :sweatdrop: I haven't gotten that far.) You're still a newb at level 20. It goes up to about 90 at least. I like the map system, though, it is seamless. I can go to each of the surface map areas without loading. Only the dungeons have to be loaded but flying from city to city without loading is good for me since I don't like dark scary dungeons anyway.  :D Right now I'm staying in the cute little town on the river called Peachrino or something like that. I when I get ready to leave I can just fly off and go see some more cities. Although I'm staying away from some of the cities to the northwest, the map makes them look like they are darker and scarier than the dungeons...  :o And PW is free and very well thought out even if lacking detail. But all in all, I still like the plans for PS better.

Weird you bring up this thread, because I've been looking into Perfect World, and have been trying to join... Unfortunately it doesn't allow me to register an account at that stupid cubizothing. I wanna kick that little yellow square thing's arse.  :@#\ Grrr.

It took me something like a dozen tries to successfully register an account, a long while back. All I can say is keep poking at it.

What I really love is how every NPC has a completely unique appearance. It's definitely a pretty game, though I've felt the grind right from the start. And like Socius mentioned, I have GW for that ;)

Title: Re: A game to look into (I figured out how to activate the game account \o/ )
Post by: Illysia on March 26, 2008, 03:26:57 am
I think I figured out how I was able to complete the registering process so I could play the game. You register and set up a password and username, yada yada yada... then you log into the cubizone site after selecting your language, then you go to the member area and go down to the button that says "Game Activation" then it pulls up the list of games and you click the activate button next to the game you want to play and you should be able to log in the game after that.

I can't even get to the part when you register. The *bleep* thing won't even let me select a *bleep* language! Gaw *bleeeeep*, all I did was click that *bleep* "Register a new game account" button, and poked that stupid "MY - English" thing well over a *bleeep* hundred times. It just don't *bleep* work!

Sometimes the site goes down or stops working, its really buggy. When I first tried to register, I couldn't get to the site to register since the site was completely down.    X-/

When I want to play a game with near-perfect balance and storyline I play Gothic, singleplayer.
For killing stuff.. UT?
For atmosphere... The Thief trilogy and deus ex I (II sux in that respect).
And if I want to play with friends and community.. PlaneShift :)

EverQuest II looked quite promising when I played the trial, but then I didn't want to pay for it.
SilkRoadOnline is too PvP focused, imo, although nice graphics and concepts.

Post by: Illysia on March 26, 2008, 04:13:15 am
Well, try using two letters and seven numbers, like "ab1234567"

@Kerol: I can't play most games, too dark of a storyline usually... I look at a RPG and the first thing I ask myself is would I RP that storyline. Planeshift is the only one that I absolutely love.
Title: Re: A game to look into
Post by: Raa on March 26, 2008, 08:16:25 pm
Nope, Illysia, even AB1234567 doesn't work.  >:( This is ridiculous.

xD
ab1234567 was an example, I think most password detectors don't recommend using strings like 1234567 or abcdefg, too easy
do like 'raa1845pwnage' or something :P

Can someone just post a bunch of random ICPassport numbers that I can copy and paste into the thing? Everything I think up doesn't work (ah349298, zo0083291, xx7770666... etc.) I want to sue these stupid little azn friks... They should be happy I've included my country, e-mail, and even my phone number. Now why do they need to know some ICPassport number thing which I don't even have? fken overacheever azns....

Try using only numbers, instead of letters mixed with numbers. Like... 318470369, 601068848, 91026547, 8854238, 984567123, 457896358, 1214578 ?

Raa, why don't I just make you an account? Give me the username and whatever else you want (in PMs) and I'll work on it.

Make a random yahoo email, change the password, and do whatever else...I wouldn't have any reason to take a new account or your PS account (since it has a pretty bad reputation anyway :P ).
