I know that I am getting frustrated like a lot of people with the current server outage. I am confident that the issue is being resolved, but I would appreciate it if there was a little more information about what is going on and if there is an ETA to getting it fixed.
Is there anything that I can do to help resolve this issue? Is there hardware that is not responding? Is there software that is not functioning properly? I am an experienced Linux systems administrator and I have a closet full of spare (not new or state-of-the-art) parts if i can be of any assistance in getting this game back up and running.

its hard to give out an ETA when we don't have one, the server is not responding to remote login so a technician has had to be called out and until he gives us info we cant pass it on

edited thread starters post for long term documentations sake. going to go through and remove all the duplicates now.... use this thread for updates in regards to this issue.

when u have the seeds the tractor doesn't work or some like that

I looked over the page for "Join the Team". I noticed lots of openings, but I don't know that I fit into any of them. I am also a programmer, but am not free to program for the project because of the no compete contract I have with my current employer. I am, however, free to offer my Linux system administration, system maintenance automation, and security services to the project. Which link should I click?

Mythryndel , I'd say probably your best bet would be to email Talad about it, and he'd be able to give you the best advise. :)
Just keep in mind that he's a bit busy with things, so it may take a little while for him to respond. This is a hobby project after all, and real life issues always come first. I'm sure you probably already understand that anyways. ;)

It's actually a bit academic at this point: those links all lead to laanx, which is down, so you can't submit an application until it's working again, which could conceivably happen faster if you were able to help, which you can't do until you apply, which you can't do until laanx is back up, which could conceivably happen faster if you were able to help, which you can't do until you apply, which you can't do until laanx is back up... and there's a hole in the bucket, dear Eliza, dear Eliza. X-/

Anyways that's Off Topic, so...what ya mean by tomorrow? is that today or do I have to wait yet another day to get on Planeshift?! Not that I'm complaining, just wanna get back on the coolest game in history, see how I can't wait? XD
