Greetings, I am an old Rper of the old MMORPG Ultima Online, and have been a leader in the various Rp communities among several free shards, as i personally feel it is ridiculous to pay to play a game. At the beginning of the Planeshift beta, i was here and i soon became bored and dismayed because back then.. there was nothing to do without combat, skills, or a suffecient player base.. i think for entertainment we all went hopping along rooftops heh. However, i come to Planeshift once more (about to Re-DL it) interested and with high hopes of finding an indepth Rp community, and possibly a few strict and indepth Rp guilds, something i am acqainted to back on UO. I look forward to making Planeshift my new home as it once was so long ago, but i ask first for a possible list or directory of current indepth Rp guilds location on Planeshift, one that i could call my new home and in which i could relearn this wonderful game and have the opportunity to meet people, expand Rp and above all else enjoy myself among the company of other Roleplayers. Basically, im just sitting here waiting for a helping hand to find its way toward me, and for a warm smile to give welcoming and some further information on the current Roleplay Community here, please post a reply or private message me, which ever you prefer, Thank you for your time.

Welcome back to PlaneShift! :) I hope you find your stay enjoyable.
It might help if you were to add what sort of RP guild you are looking for - do you have a character with specific interests, or needs? It might narrow down your search. Also, all the guilds listed in our Guild section of the forum absolutely must involve RP, else their thread gets removed - so if you're interested in poking around on your own while you wait for replies, feel free to visit some threads and see if a specific guild catches your eye. You will find contact information listed for every guild to help you find more information.

Interesting, so every guild here has to have Rp attached, well thats nice to hear, i wasnt aware of that.

Joining a guild will help with RP but it's quite easy to RP without one. The whole game is RP, guilds just change what kind of RP. I never recommend jumping into a guild right from the start, just look for a mentor basically. I'd offer my services but, I play about an hour a week :P Starting out is always kind of hard, just make sure your character is believable and you'll be good.

Too bad I do not have the time to keep the Sheeples more active. It is fun playing the dedicated victims of the land. Too many heroes around already. Writing for Settings keeps me away from them. :(
Then again, now I get to make everyone a victem. :devil:

No seriously, people have given good advice already. Go out and explore the world, interact with people and see which guild suits your character best. It's true that we strive for all guilds to be about roleplay but you'll find that not everyone in-game follows that guideline. Nevertheless there are plenty of good roleplaying guilds around who can almost all be found on these forums.
If you have any specific questions, I'm sure people here can point you in the right direction.

:woot: Welcome back to the PlaneShift community Kael Vryce! I hope you enjoy the changes in the game and find the RP your looking for! There is always something going on. One place to look for RP to get into and would be an easy start would be Kada El's tavern in Hydlaa.
