Title: cant attack mobs

i'm getting a message everytime i attempt to attack a mob (i forgot what it says >.>) but basically i cant attack anything
any help? wondering if this is a bug (checked the forum and i don't think theirs this one yet)

Impervious to attack?
 that means the NPC client is down. just wait it will come up soon (tm)

havnt played since 0.26 so i'm trying to get back on my feet XD
