Title: Earth Hour - Today!

Interesting initiative, just to show you care for the earth planet. I know we need to conquer few more planets, but before that we need to keep this one alive! :)

It's better then claiming a whole day ^^
But it would be better if it wasn't needed  ;)
So on which timezone based is PS blacking out for one hour? Please choose EU time, like rome, berlin ect. Then i usually read a book ^^
  :flowers:

The point is to save energy in peak hours. The impact is higher when we choose not to use it when we need it most.

mmmm just what we need....an eclipse that doesn't happen in-game!

it may not seem like a lot, but maybe people will get the idea that turning off lights DOES reduce electrical consumption, light pollution and allows us to see the stars once more.

And why not take it to the next level and turn off ALL the lights? that would be a beautiful sight.

PlaneShift already has enough "Earth Hours" on its own, it doesn't need extra!
Hey wait, if the server crashes we could just say it's an "Earth Hour" and that the PS team is just helping the environment. Cunning plan, Talad!

Earth Hour doesn't mean you can't use electricity at all, only that whatever you do during that hour (work, watch tv, listen to music, play PS) you should do it with your lights out, of course I read their FAQs (http://www.earthhour.org/faq) after spending one hour in the dark, completely unplugged and bored to death (should have started there before going on full-hug-a-tree mode). But it's a lot easier to do and the effect is relevant. In fact, it's so easy you can do it every day of the year.
