Title: A resignation
Post by: Xillix Queen of Fools on April 01, 2008, 07:27:35 am: Unfortunately due to the enormous pressures related to working for this game and some professional needs of my own personally, I must quit as the settings leader. There have been some very stressful disagreements with that players base that I cannot reconcile myself with and there is just no way I can foresee my self continuing to be happy and grow as a person under the current conditions.

I hope sincerely that no one will take this as negative reflection on the dev team, or on themselves personally. It is not the fact that one or another of you have offended me, it is the aggregate of things that I can no longer deal with. I must now tend to my health and well being and work on continuing my education in a manner that moves me more toward a paying job that will find me in a better place.

If things settle down for me personally, or I gain some perspective I may well return to work on this great game.

It has been great knowing all of you and this is not a good bye I hope, just a "see you later."

lol yep, this whole joke was "accidentally" announced on fool's day, and waiting one more day for having it appear serious was just too much, huh?
whats new as well? PS will have to pay devs, cash will run out and playing PS will cost money? ...

Calm down velh, the minute you play this game because of someone else, is the minute you fail yourself.

People come, people go, thats life.

Me on the other hand, i'm staying here, even if everyone leaves, it just means training will be easier! ;D

Though there is a lesson in all this I believe. Let us all remember that all the people who work behind the scenes do it all for us. So we should be grateful to them so they will not consider leaving. They do a great job and should be applauded for all the work they volunteer to do.

As for the community I hope that people will not leave the game because I consider them my friends, but that is life. We need to come together and make this game the best it can be without the conflicts that seem so prevalent amongst us; that is if this game is to continue to grow.

So I wish everybody to consider when he or she says something that they say it considering the person behind the character. As hard as it might be let us try to be kind so that if we are fortunate enough to ever get someone close to as talented as Xillix that that person might stay and actually enjoy the work they do.

Xillix I wish your journey through life to be as you wish it to be. Remember there are always lessons to learn and they make us stronger to continue our walk through life.

The latest news is that the former minimum age for an application as a develloper is now the maximum age, as the majority of players is younger than 18 years.

On the one hand, I really wanna think it's just an April Fool's joke, and on the other... if I learn for certain that it's not, I'll respect Xilix's decision to quit, but I'll still be very sad. :'( Me and many others, I'm sure.
