yes you do need a vid card to play PS.
everybody has a video card in his comp. if you want to know which one you have you can find this out in your OS.
How you can find out depends on which OS you use.
For win98 this would be the procedure:
1. right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop
2. select properties
a new screen appears.
3. select the second tab on the top
4. there you should see somewhere fairly at the top something like \'video adapter\' or something.
5. click the little plus before this.
now you should see which video card is installed in your system.
and if you use a mac i guess its a whole different story, dont know about that.

Keldorn,
He doesn\'t appear to be asking about Planeshift.
I don\'t know if you need a video card to play PlaneScape or not, but if it is a computer game then probably yes, you do.
