NPC client was down and there didn't seem to be much going on. So I ended up wondering something about an idea i'd had.
Would for example a group Xiosia fanatic healers who absorb everyone (or almost everyone) they heal into a hive mind of sorts be a violation of anything?

I have seen odder role plays performed... Maybe you could elaborate on what you mean though?

O.K. I'll elaborate. This Xiosia fanatic believes that the way for everyone to live in harmony would be for everyone to have the same mind. So this one begins adding new people to their collective mind and basically tries to keep spreading.

Interesting idea, I say go with it, since it would be possible in the current settings. It depends really on how you plan to have the fanatic "absorb" others, I'm sure there must be a glyph for it somewhere ;)
Anyway, good luck with it if you do decide to give it a go.

Sounds extremely similar to some Duraza slavery plots we all know. It could be interesting but personally I've seen too many magical roleplays like this. I hope you'll re-evaluate your story, tone down on the magic and boost your originality.
Of course that's just my opinion and I'm probably alone with it so feel free to ignore this post. :P

Zan has a point though, but bare in mind, some RPers haven't seen such magical world enslaving rps before. But the originality thing goes without saying ;)

Brain washing, assimilating, etc... for the purpose of peace in yliakum under one mind.
Interesting, be sure to give it a lot of thought and brainstorming, as well as making sure nothing collides with the settings.

I can only second this... :)
For me, is magic good way to have interesting RPs, but I'm not the kind who likes magic (the 'improvised' kind) to be extremely powerfull.
So feel free to ignore two posts... :P

Just suggestion: Perhaps a Xiosia follower who was doing research on tloke has ingested royal jelly of the queen/been infected with a sickness and from there the rp extends?

This in particular gave me an idea of maybe less magic (casting at least) involved and more sorta biological additions.
Any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Oh and by the way any additional information on tloke would be appreciated.(Addtional meaning what isn't found in the library.)

I think it would be interesting if there was some sort of conspiracy element involved. Perhaps one or more characters are involved in poisoning other chars with this infected stuff... You would have to wonder if your mana potions were spiked ! And if so, by who?
* Rigwun makes a cautious tasting motion with is lips and then examines his mug. That ale was kind of sweet.. I wonder if ? Nah...that's ridiculous.. Lol..

Not really voices... or bothering... just... accept... it's the way... of... world will be... better.

How about rather than a conspiracy or plot etc, it is simply an infection which started with the Royal Jelly having unforseen consequences when ingested (maybe it didn't react well with the researcher's previous meal :) ) and now spreads much like a virus, requiring some specific form of contact or maybe that any victims have eaten the same foods as the researcher did (prior to ingesting the jelly) to be susceptible. That way
a) it becomesa task to find a cure
and
b) along the way the hive mind controller (maybe the tloke queen) could begin to become overwhelmed by all the new and different minds and starts to behave erratically/aggressively (giving the impression of conspiracy) or alternatively tries to seek help from other places in Yliakum ... the possibilities are almost endless.
There have probably been a number of conspiracy type themes played out already, maybe this slant would be a little different?

My mind has started to wander along the idea that the researcher, not giving any names Alirukell develops a sickness due to [Insert item here] (not entirely sure of that detail yet) and basically looses his identity then, due to his nature of believing the world should be as one which is about all of him that survives the infection he tries to spread this collective mind,now his own, to others. Note that anyone else who becomes infected will not repeat NOT loose any remnants of themselves Well not unless you want them to. Just an idea here. Any more of the wonderfully helpful comments would be appreciated.

This sounds nice. I'm sure Vidoferus (I think it was him) would probably like to take part in this, he's a pretty radical Xiosia follower (gah, story spoilers :P)
