Title: Banking Items
Post by: MustangMR on April 24, 2008, 02:22:16 am
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm not sure where to put this question cause I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature that isn't implemented yet, but I tried to store some items in the bank and every time I try to put them in, they fall on the ground.  Is the banking feature supposed to be functional now?  If not, is there a method besides drag and drop that I should be using to put an item in the bank?  I don't see one.  I tried giving the item to the banker, but he didn't want it, tried a few other things but nothing seemed to have any effect.  It always ended up on the ground.

If it's not supposed to work right now, then those tabs should really be disabled.

Okay, I can deal with that.  But I'm wondering how you all manage to keep your inventory and work tradeskills if there's no place to store stuff.  I can barely carry anything at the moment and movement is a pain with a heavy load.  Do items persist in the world if you put them on the ground?

No, they will probably get scooped up by people like Kaerli and sold. :P (and then if Kaerli catches you littering, she'll kick you all the way to the Azure Crystal :P)

And it's not funny to make trails of bread pieces and other concoctions X-/. It's better to contact a GM if you have stuff you can't get rid off in the furnace but playing Hansel and Gretel means we have to spend a lot of time cleaning after you. So, in case you forgot:

Are there an official standing on the use of mules btw?

using mules isnt considered as cheating as long as you dont use them to gain profit (i.e: mining with both clients for example is forbidden).
trading between mules is accepted  :flowers:

(there are others thread  in which GMs answered about the same, just cant find one )

What if the mule mines also, but only for paying its own bills?

my understanding is that through what has been stated on the boards in the past is that as long as you aren't mining/whatever on 2 different characters at the same time, that is, both logged in and mining/whatever away, you're fine.

Hm, but they can craft, train weapons, questing the same time but different places?

no, thats not what i said.

again, you can have more than one character.  but you cannot do things with both characters logged in at the same time, excluding certain exceptions made on case by case basis.

mining/training/crafting do not fall in those exceptions.
