Title: Cannot install PlaneShift on ArchLinux
Post by: Djon on May 02, 2008, 12:01:45 am
Hi!

I tried to install PlaneShift on my ArchLinux, but I get "segmentation fault"-error everytime. What maybe a reason?

Regards.

Hard to say but it could be a dependency issue?  I'd first doublecheck that walktest and celtst work and then move on from there.  I doubt its  Arches fault, great distro and I love pacman!

Same error with installer, on ArchLinux too. When I tried the AUR package, it works fine, but the updater crashes everytime with a segfault. So, I'm trying to build PS from source now...

Very strange...I use the official binaries on ArchLinux (64-bit) with no problems.  I know that's not much help, but...it should work, at least in theory...

Good luck with the source build.  #planeshift-build on irc.freenode.net should be able to help if you have trouble.
