it occurs to me that a high percentage of the mobs ingame don't have a chance to drop any of the weapons they are holding, eg: I find and Enkidukia with a claymor, or a rogue with a battle axe, yet I can kill them ten times or a hundred and it would have little effect on what they are holding. I understand that they shouldn't always drop them - weapons break or such in combat and become unusable however the idea that they never seemed to have them in their loot table, is a bit annoying and also disheartening when you think "wohoo a weapon for me to use!" but planeshift replies "actually it was just a trick of the lighting, that rogue didn't actually have a claymore...."
I'd also like to see the mobs holding random weapons, apart from if it's been specified that they weild a certain something or other.

I am a little confused about what you are saying. Do you mean that some rogues appear to be using battle axes but do not drop them and some enkidukai (mercenaries?) appear to be holding claymores but do not drop them? It seems to me that the rogues all use shorter weapons such as they drop, daggers, short and broad swords, or nothing. I am not sure what the mercenaries use.
If you are just suggesting that the human type mobs ought to drop stuff they appear to be holding at least some of the time, I'll agree with that. I do not think that the loot tables are set in stone, as yet, and they will get updated eventually as new items become available.

There are a couple of rogues in the sewers weilding battleaxes.
And yes precisely: the humanoid mobs holding a weapon should drop them on at least a decent percentage of the time.
if the randomised weapon holding thing is already implemented then that's my bad. SOme of them seem to just hold the same weapons every spawn.

And some rogues seem to be fighting without any weapons but drop some. Isn't poetic justice just great. :) But you are right, it would be more convenient for the players if the mobs would drop the weapons they seem to be using.

Rule number one of being a rogue:
Always have a spare claymore in your back pocket

I think that goes for action movie heroes too. Except as time progressed the claymore has become a rocket propelled grenade launcher...
